IT'S RACE DAY for the 4th annual $22,000 LONESTAR SPRINT SMACKDOWN & LoneStar Speedway's big SEASON OPENER at 6pm MARCH 3rd: 71°, CALM WINDS & DRY FORECAST!
The Pit Gate TODAY will open by 3pm, while the main grandstand area will open by 4:30pm. The driver's draw cut-off for heat races is 5:00pm, with a driver's meeting set for 5:30pm. Hot laps will fire off by 6pm with racing to follow immediately.
Adult grandstand general admission (ages 12-64) to this massive event is just $15! Ages 6-11 are $5, while ages 65+ and military will be $12. All pit passes for all ages are $35.

Kilgore, TX (03/03/18) by DarinShort.com. The 70' wide expanses of LoneStar Speedway hosted several phenomenal racing events in 2017. Nightly there was side-by-side racing, drivers coming from the back to win, wild finishes - and the new 2018 season fires up *TONIGHT* SATURDAY, MARCH 3rd at 6pm, when fans will be treated to a huge night of racing: the 4th Annual SPRINT SMACKDOWN and LONESTAR SPEEDWAY SEASON POINTS OPENER, featuring added purses in all divisions.
The 2017 edition of the event drew a fantastic crowd and a jammed pit area with 27 Winged Sprint Cars, 22 Outlaw Modifieds, 36 Factory Stocks, 22 Limited Modifieds and 19 Front Wheel Drive 4-Cylinders...this year will be no different!
Action fires off TODAY Saturday MARCH 3rd at 6PM. (The sun goes down at 6:24pm, which will coincide perfectly.)
A JUMBO-SIZED competitor purse is slated in all racing divisions, and the breakdown is as follows, transponders are required for all divisions except FWD 4-Cyl, and a working RACEceiver is required for all divisions:
SPRINT CARS (note that we chose to add more purse in the middle of the field instead of putting it all on top, so it benefits more race teams): $1,200/win - $800 - $600 - $550 - $500 (5th) - $450 - $400 - $350 - $320 - $300 (10th) - $280 - $260 - $240 - $220 - $200 (to 24th...not 20th!). 25-lap feature.
All sprint car NQ's or Non-Starters will receive $100. Sprint Car heats will include passing points which will determine the feature lineups...straight up by points. No redraw. No outside food/drink coolers are allowed inside main grandstand entrance; a full selection of economically priced food concessions, including beer, are available.
Teams can register their cars for the 2018 season, as well as purchase reserved pit spaces for the season when they arrive today.
