so my gal says one day after NASNAP is over, someone is sabatoging his motors it appears.  Two NASNAP motors blown in two consecutive races, unheard of.  and now, another blown motor!  is it someone "messing" with the equipment?  who is the link that has hands on  access?????....hmmmmm

again, just for fun here...

I doubt that it's anything other than just a little bad luck, unless someone from Hendrick built that midget engine!  ;-)

I think anyone who knows KKR would tell you there's no way in hell there was any funny business going on with Kyle's ride.  But.....I'd be lying if I told you my dad and I didn't have this same conversation Saturday night right after the engine blew.  Of course, there was a lot of Miller Lite involved in that conversation too..... Smile

Conspiracy theorists will have a ball with this.

I guarantee you that the victory doughnuts earlier in the week had something to do with it.......as much as I love seeing yung money hang a steering wheel out the car and turn 15,000 rpm, I think it may have cost him this time.

I agree with the victory donuts. While it is cool to watch I have always been surprised that car owners allow them to do that.

He spun the car 2 times easily in one corner, then drove to the next corner and spun 3 times.  If anything was a factor, it was setting the front end down too hard.   Was it a factor, who knows, but I'm betting there will be less of that next year because nobody knows for sure.

Yeah to be honest with ya I don't know. For all I know they had an extra hot freshie built for Sat A main,  and it let go a few laps early. Kind of like Schatz at Knoxville a few years back. The motor was built to blow up on lap 51 but sometimes it don't work out. But my point is one quick little over rev will do it. And if it's in  the bottom end you won't see it till it grenades.  Either way victory doughnuts are awesome. Motors are expensive. And Yung money will have plenty of opportunities for redemption.

The only reason I mentioned it is that I remember a couple years ago when they changed motors after qualifying night and something went wrong with the replacement.....can't remember what though.

Those Toy's are all computerized aren't they?    No possibility of over-revving?

Plus Christopher Bell runs nascar for Toyota for JGR which is THE Toyota team and Larson runs a chevy. Obviously they blew it up, probably Dr Evil sitting in a control room just waiting for the right time to hit the remote control blow button.

My guess is that engine was set to lean or somehow went lean.  The mechanics can set how lean or rich an engine is.  My guess he burnt a hole in piston, or second guess broke a valve which desroyed a piston.
