That is big news and good news! I've been worried about Osky since they currently have no plan on running a weekly show for their usual IMCA classes. Looks like they have been filling dates with some specials which is good in order to keep the place open and racing. Support classes to be named yet on Tuesday... can't imagine them doing anything other than 305s both nights unless they bring in some IMCA classes. I'm fine with either but I know many others are not
Bill - Is the Sprint Invader schedule out yet or set in stone if Osky does find a promotor for weekly racing? I dont remeber seeing it but I was curious if they somehow kept a race at Osky in May like they have the past few years.

I like it! Still wish we had some non-wing racing in the program, but I understand the reasons for not doing it. I think the biggest thing I'm liking out of this is only having the top three rows reserved! GA seating will be a welcome addition in my book as I typically ended up sitting lower anyways to get out of the elbow-to-elbow crowd.

Yea, the reserved seating situation sucked, glad they fixed it.
Last years A MaIn was easily the best winged race I’ve ever seen at Osky.

I agree that was easily the best winged race I've ever seen at Osky. I don't think that track has the best configuration for constant good racing but that race has me pumped for more action at that track. Track prep that night was about spot on.

Without the non winged cars I cannot justify spending $25 to see 350 sprints. Just one opinion & hoping it will work out well for Terry & Lori.

I too would rather see the wingless cars, but the 360s should get 40 plus and be a fun show.

The Haud coming from the rear of the field was maybe the most exciting sprint car race I have ever seen, almost as good as the one I saw at Millstream back in the 90's that I have mentioned many times in this forum....

After stupidly going down to Indianola last year on Tuesday night and paying $25 to get into that Comet Classic midget show with only 6 midgets showing up (and about 20 micros for the Micro Race) I would gladly pony up $25 at Osky if I knew 40-50 360's would be at the show.

If Robert decides to try the Comet Classic again I will go AGAIN, to support it. How often do we get to see a promotor even try to put on a midget show in Iowa.
Hopefully they learned a few things and the drivers will support a great paying event.

Sorry, but not me. I suppose I could have guessed that there wouldn't be many cars there, but 6 midgets (and only three that really could run good laps) and a 2 division show with about 30 total cars in the pits that took almost 4 hours was enough for me...again, especially for $25. I
We left during the midget feature, because my father started getting nervous after they added some of the Micros into the race. The closing rate of the couple fast midgets that were there looked like at some point they might be a recipe for a disastrous wreck. I am sure Robert is a great guy, as everybody seems to agree, but that show was a disaster. The only redeeming quality was getting a new track on the list and the fact that the weather was beautiful. Next time I'll go to Osky, the cart races, or Des Moines for the baseball game. I try to be understanding of promotors and know that sometimes things happen, and races are mediocre for a variety of reasons, but that was a steep admission price for the show presented.

They never should have advertised all of the drivers that they did without firm commitments that they would show up. And if the drivers that were advertised gave Robert the idea that they would show up and didn't, then shame on them. I doubt they would try it again because they lost the trust of all the fans that showed up expecting a top notch midget show. It was bad, plain and simple.

I do wish someone with some backing would have thought of a midget show at warren co before Bell did. Perfect replacement show for Usac fans who have missed the ultimate challenge since it went away. Especially when all the midgets were in the area for Belleville. Now sadly that opportunity is gone.

POWRi or WAR or both! I love the idea! I see both don't have a race that particular week so who knows.

That is about the only thing that would get me down to Iowa before Wednesday. Another hammer down half mile winged race holds zero interest for me. Keep the faith!

I would love to see wingless cars back at Osky. The WAR series would be great with their openness on rules.

Wished granted ogob....
POWRI War series announced they'll be at Osky on August 7th.
This week just got better, and I THINK the ALL STARS are going to be at Knoxville the week before the 360Nats.
Don't go to the Osky Challenges website as it looks like it still is showing 2017 info and scheduling.
