Why would Chico put two other support groups on with a 50 plus 360 sprint car field for the Annual Fall Nationals? Really? Not needed and is just a cash grab from a lack luster promoter who is looking at fleecing drivers and crew from back gate money. Terrible, and these lazy promoters have no shame anyone. Chico has been in the toilet since 2000 and looks like its further and further in the tank. New management, new promoter, new surface, promotions are needed please please please! Wish we had Stocktons promoter at Chico.

If sanctioning bodies would stop scheduling races there, maybe it would force him to get the place into shape. I cannot think of a time I have left this track thinking that I was satisfied with the experience, though I have only been going for the past 6 years.

If you must know MWFAN I was born and raised in Chico. Whats the point? Ive been to sprint car races since its inception and they do not need a support class ever. If theres not enough cars then theres a issue of another concern. Also, take into consideration curfew plays a role as well, possibly taking sprint car laps off their main in order to see Spec Sprints?. I get your point MWFAN so Ill concede on local regular every week shows but NOT on big shows where its a Annual Event predicated on specifically Sprint Cars such as Fall Natls, Gold Cup, Trophy Cup ect. Whats next Dwarf Cars and Spec Sprints to support Trophy Cup?????? Good God !!!

Agreed that the Fall Nationals didn't need support classes, and on weekly Friday night shows there are too many classes run each night with too few cars in each class. But Chico in the toilet? There was great racing over the weedend. The track was well prepared. A lot of passing in Sat. A Main with three wide coming off turn four for the checker and the car that had lead most of the race falling to third in the last 100 yards. A Fred Brownfield tribute car won the Ford Focus main. I would say the vast majority of those who attended were satisfied.
You guy's comments may prevent many from attending, yeah, that would force a change, but would it be the kind of change we want? Track closure? Come on! Say the positives too. It wasn't as bad as you make it sound.

Change has been needed in Chico for years. Track isnt a pimple on a hogs rear end compared to late 80s and early 90's. Surface, bank ect are gone and have been gone. The Farms Farms clay was second to none and why they dont still use it is a question I know the answer to but wont share. As long as you settle for crumbs youll never have the entire cake. Your correct many of us are down on chico and wish for a complete makeover. Id rather have one great track than 7 mediocre tracks. NWFAN ill be at Tulare Ture 1 for trophy Cup watching the porpoise. Look me up.

Fri night heats were the worst I've seen in a long time, Sat heats had passing but the track went away as the night went on. Any time it takes more than 5 or 6 laps to cacth the back markers it makes for some bad racing. Sat it took over 13 laps to get into lapped cars.

+1
Could have started a little earlier each night. Otherwise, it was a good program.
