Do to the lack of integrity by SCCT and it's promoter, Menne Motorsports will not be racing with SCCT for the remainder of 2017 race season.
Days after the race in Calistoga, Sean Becker was told he would not get any points in his hard-charging 15th place finish in the A main.
Instead, he will only get 8th place points in the B main.
As a result, I will not be attending any more SCCT races as well, and it turns my stomach to see once again how crying by well fundeded teams (#83) can lead a series down a dark path.
Before the race, SCCT told all the teams it would be transferring 8 cars from the B main to the A, but at NO time did they announce that cars finishing in 7th and 8th place would not receive points in the A main. This was decided DAYS after the race!
To put this in the drivers prospective, he assumed making it into the 7th or 8th place spot, both transfer positions, would guarantee him A main points. He had NO idea he needed to get to 6th place to get any points in the A main.
The series has lost a quality team and driver, as well as their credibility.
The promoter of SCCT will need surgery to get a new spine, political pressure has robed him of the one he once had!
Please share this statement, SCCT needs to be held accountable.
