Longdale OK, June 13th 2016 – The Two night USMTS Weekend is now in the books. The weekend kicked off on Friday with the Alyssa Ramirez Memorial featuring IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods, Intermediate Sport Mods and 32 USMTS Modifieds. Thanks’ to BoomTest the IMCA cars were racing for higher than normal prize money. The track prep crew once again put together a nearly flawless racing surface.
The night’s action began with heat races for the IMCA Modifieds, Intermediate Sport Mods, IMCA Sport Mods & USMTS Modifieds.
At Intermission fans in attendance got a chance to visit the concessions stand for food and beverage along with Herb’s Smoke Shack for his famous smoked ribs and turkey legs. The Souvenir shop also was also a popular place to stop and check out all the new Longdale Speedway Souvenirs. Race fan Tobias Hammontree from Woodward Ok was the winner of the facebook “like and share” contest and was treated to a ride in the Longdale Speedway 2 seater Modified with USMTS Star Jason Hughes at the wheel. Saturday night’s winner was Stacie McCartney from Lahoma OK who was copilot to USMTS Star Ryan Gustin.
On the Podium Friday:
On top of the IMCA Modified Podium was (96jr) John Herring jr from Woodward OK with (9) Cole Traugott also from Woodward in 2nd and veteran wheelman Scott Drake from Joplin MO in 3rd driving the Tanner Black owned 44T.
Intermediate Sport Mod racers making the podium were (8) Dustin Donley from Mooreland OK, Woodward OK (83) Matt Shenberger and (99) Brandon Givens from Perry OK rounding out the top 3.
The IMCA Sport Mods put on a great show with (33R) Mike Roach from Woodward winning (21B) Brandon Kenny also from Woodward in 2nd and (44) Kale Westover from Blair OK in 3rd.
USMTS Modified winner was Marshalltown Iowa’s (19r) Ryan Gustin with (2s) Stormy Scott from Arroyo Hondo NM 2nd and (186) Jeremy Payne from Springfield MO in 3rd.
On The Podium Saturday:
Grand Nationals top three were Woodward OK (96) Jon Herring (27) Lance Sessions from Longdale OK and from Piedmont OK (79e) Dustin Exline.
IMCA Stock Car winner was Hennessey OK (12r) Hesston Shaw with (47) Landon Maddox from Fairview OK in 2nd and (3) Logan Macy also from Hennessey OK rounding out the top 3.
USMTS Modifieds put on a 42 lap battle. At the checkers it was Las Cruces NM (1st) Johnny Scott followed by (186) Jeremy Payne Springfield MO and 3rd going to (19r) Ryan Gustin from Marshalltown Iowa.
Intermediate Sport Mods atop of the podium was Woodward OK (33h) Rayce Hacker followed by (10) Dustin Donley from Mooreland OK and (5b) Troy Bynum finishing 3rd.
The Pure Stocks winner was Hennessey Oklahoma’s (81) Tyler Scruggs with fellow Hennessey racer (5) Mathew Smith making a methodical charge through the field for 2nd and (79) Alex Fennema from Chester OK in 3rd.
The IMCA Mods had Mohave Valley Arizona driver (44t) Tanner Black coming from his 5th place starting spot taking home his 1st IMCA Modified win with 2nd going to Woodward OK (96jr) John Herring Jr and 3rd to (71) Jessie Hoskins from Longdale OK.
The final feature of the weekend was the IMCA Sport Mods with (4p) Daylon Bergeron from Woodward OK taking the win and also from Woodward (21b) Brandon Kenney in 2nd and Enid Oklahoma’s (4) Kenny Morris in 3rd.

Saturday June 18th - Round #10 of the Longdale Speedway Racing Series. Adult grandstand admission will be $10 and age 6 to 12 are $5 and 5 and under are free! Seniors and military $8.
Pit gates will open at 4:00 PM with grandstands opening at 5:30 PM. Hot laps at approximately 7:00 PM and opening ceremonies at 7:30pm and heat races immediately following.
