Droud Dominate in Dodge City NCRA/NSL Appearance!
Dodge City, Kansas – May 7, 2016 - Current series point leader Don Droud, Jr. grabbed the lead at the start and never looked back in claiming his second National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products/gomuddy.com National Sprint League 360-ci sprint car feature win in a row Saturday night at Dodge City Raceway Park in Dodge City, Kansas.
Defending series champion C.J. Johnson and Droud started on the front row for the twenty lap feature with Droud, aboard the Ochs Brothers #1x, taking the lead entering turns one and two. That was all that was needed ad he would lead all twenty laps to win his second straight tour victory and the seventh different NCRA sprint car winner in the last seven events held at DCRP.
Johnson held off Jeremy Campbell to finish second while fourth starting Tony Bruce, Jr. brought the Danny King #88 sprinter home fourth. J.D. Johnson rounded out the top five.
The two, eight lap heat races for the fourteen car field were won by C.J. Johnson and Droud.
The next event for the NCRA/NSL 360-ci sprinters will be a Memorial Day weekend, kicking off on Friday night, May 27, at Salina
Speedway in Salina, Kansas before heading back to 81 Speedway in Park City for the tracks third series event for the 2016 race season.
