Oklahoma Sports Park Hosts Sooner Late Model Series This Saturday Night!
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – April 25, 2016 - After taking two weeks off it is back to racing action this coming Saturday night (April 30) as the Sooner Late Model Series make the first of three appearances of the season at Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada for race number two on the 2016 inaugural season. It will be the first time since the late 90’s that the full-bodied “gladiators” of the late model division will circle the three-eighths mile dirt oval.
Back on April 15th it was Kip Hughes getting the best of an impressive 23 cars to put his name in the record books as the series’ first ever feature winner. Shannon Scott was on “Kipper’s” bumper throughout the feature and came up just two car lengths short at the checkered. Dalton Ragedale, Mark Harrison and Eddie Martin are the top five in the current point standings while Nate Jantz, Phil Miller, Sloppy Hogg, Jay Sale and David Hennon round out positions six through ten.
Gates open at 5:00 PM with race action slated for a 7:30 PM start time. Adult general admission is $15; ages eleven through fifteen $13 and ages ten and under will be admitted into the grandstands for free.
