TULSA, Okla. (April 25, 2016) - After a successful April 15 season opener at Southern Oklahoma Speedway with 23 competitors signed in, the Sooner Late Model Series returns to action this Saturday with a stop at Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada, Oklahoma.
Kip Hughes turned back challenges from Shannon Scott to win the opening main event and leads the points race going into Saturday’s program.
Hughes has a perfect 200 points with his heat and feature win in the opener and holds a 30-point margin over second place Scott. Dalton Ragsdale, who finished third in the opening feature, sits third in points 30-points back of Scott. Mark Harrison in fourth 25-points back of Harrison with 115 and Eddie Martin sits in a fifth place tie with Nate Jantz with 110 points.
Gates at Oklahoma Sports Park open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 7 and racing getting underway at 7:30.
