I'm working the Kentucky Nascar race this weekend.

I'm staying at the Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, IN for the event.

I was able to convince my three co-workers to extend our hotel stay one more night just to watch the USAC sprints at Lawrenceburg.

The main reason I was able to convince three non-dirt tracks fans (two black guys (not that race matters)) to throw in a few more dollars for an extra night's stay.... the awesome video playing on the sign at the street while we are sitting at a long stop light.  I told them to watch the video and then compare it to todays busch race.  They are jacked up to see sprints after struggling through today's events.

Just thought it was an awesome marketing tool for track promoters...

Thats awesome man...Hope you all have a good time and can remember everything the next morning, lol.

I use to live in Long Beach (CA) and my roomate, also whom is black, I dragged him out to Perris to watch the USAC/CRA boys, and he was totally freaked out and loved it...everytime I went somewhere he would ask if i was going to the races and if he could go...

The older I get, the faster I used to be.

Amazing, the tool of marketing.   Lots of "promoters" in the Dallas area could learn from this....

Lots of tracks EVERYWHERE should take notice of this! Dirt tracks just don't get the importance of today's social media marketing!

Bruce Ellis did an awesome job in Open Wheel for years starting with no one asked me but.  Miss that stuff.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

An electronic sign on the street is NOT social media.....it is merely signage,  a tool promoters have used since the first handbill was stapled to the first tree.

Bones Bourcier wrote "Nobody asked me but..." columns for years in Speedway Scene and Trackside. Lots of newspaper columnists have written them over the years, but the "Nobody asked me but..." column originated with Jimmy Cannon in the 1930s.
