Tickets on Sale for The Copper On Dirt

(January 14th, 2014) – Inspired by a true pioneer and visionary, a new tradition with his reflection of the past, was born last March and as a sold out crowd sat and watched an action filled weekend of racing it was apparent that we could carry on one of his many legacies. The 7th running of Dennis Woods, "Copper on Dirt" will feature USAC/CRA Sprint Cars, USAC Western Midgets, The West Coast Late Model Shootout vs. CDM Late Models and IMCA Modifieds all taking part in a sensational racing spectacle at Peoria’s Canyon Speedway for two nights on February 28th and March 1st marking Canyon Speedway as the only dirt track venue in the country to host all four premier divisions in one event.
As the 2014 racing season goes into to full swing, The Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Car hopefuls will make their way to CSP to start the year off at one of the premier events of the season. Damion Gardner will lead a large cast of the USAC Sprint Cars into battle as they all look ahead at the next USAC/CRA Champion.
The West Coast Shootout Late Model Series will take on the CDM Late Model Series in their first appearance of 2014 setting the stage for the championship season. The western premier Super Late Model touring series will kick off the 2014 championship season at the Peoria, Arizona facility as top Super Late Model racers look to win their first Copper on Dirt crown.
A sensational cast of IMCA Modifieds will also take part in the 7th Annual Copper on Dirt. The IMCA Modifieds will start the 2014 Canyon Speedway Championship season as a host of top drivers from across the country aim for Copper on Dirt glory.
The super fast USAC Western Midgets will fill the card making for a spectacular event as the four premier divisions tackle the 1/3-mile clay oval for two complete nights of racing action on February 28th and March 1st, with more than $100,000 in prize money to be distributed over the course of the blockbuster event.
Race fans can mark their calendar for the Copper on Dirt as the stars come out for undoubtedly the best show on dirt and race fans can catch all the action for just $20 per day. Two day advanced tickets are now on sale and race enthusiasts can take advantage of discounted ticket prices for the much anticipated Copper on Dirt.
