Due to the weather, the big sprint car show at LA Raceway (La Monte, Mo. - 15 Miles west of Sedalia, Mo.) will be held next Sunday. With the ASCS scheduled at Lakeside on Saturday night, and nothing on their schedule for Sunday, you can bet some of those guys will make to trip to LA. www.ascsracing.com

The full fireworks display will be done at the July 8 event. There's a lot of special things going on at the track this night.

Here's the official release from LA.

www.laraceway.com

The Merlyn McCown/Ken Taylor Memorial Race featuring the O'Reilly Winged Outlaw Warrior 360 Sprints and 305 Sprints that was scheduled for Sunday,July 1, has been rescheduled for next Sunday, July 8. General Admission will be only $12.00 with Under 6 Free. Gates will open at 4:00, Hot Laps at 6:30, Races 7:30. Items from Steve Kinser, Danny Lasoski, Jesse Hockett, Randy Martin and many more to be given away at intermission. Before the races, a group of "old-time" drivers will be on hand to meet the crowd and share stories such as Shorty Ackers, Jay Lyle, Bill Utz, Greg Weld, Roy Hibbard & Ray Lee Goodwin.

If you happen to be one of the 'old time' Sprint car or Supermodified fans of yesterday, this is an event you will not want to miss.
