Perhaps their function exceeds their visual appeal or lack thereof. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I applaud people reaching outside the cookie cutter that is today's sprint car. More power to them.

The hoods and panels are built in house. You can't buy them.

Yeah, if that's what you want to believe. Why did Saldan have a J&J hood on at Williams Grove this year? Why did Dollansky go to the regular Maxim body for half the year?

Jesse Hockett does have a body from them, but it's nto this years design. It is 2008, because he bought a JEI from KKR.

Ed doesn't make the KKR body panels. No sense is calling him, unless you like one of his bodies.

buying a car from KKR seems to be the only way to obtain one of those hoods. but they do look way cool. nice to see something different

Anyone who is interested in the 2007 style of KKR hoods. This is the style that Roger Crockett is running himself, and was also featured on Steve Kinser's car for the WOO world finals this year. If interested in purchasing this style of hood's you may reach Roger Crockett at Rocket Designs phone number is 541-301-3709, or email at [email protected]. Here is an example picture below:

I dont know ask Willy....We have the most recent hood from KKR.. and for us the driver can tell that the front end does not feel like it wants to float....I mean you cant argue off of one track that saldana ran without the hood. Or dollansky who does not drive for KKR anymore...On our 410 we run the J&J style hood with Maxim Body, and the 360 KKR body...

what ever style hood or any other body parts they are using, it is working. 20 wins in the 09' season says it all...

No thanks, I'll pass on asking Willy anything. Both drivers argued that the front end didn't turn with the hoods on big tracks. The hoods were modified for for the second half of the year to allow the car to turn into the corner easier.
BTW, Jimmy Russell was the first to produce the type of hood in the pic above. Todd Shaffer started using them in 2005, even before KKR started using them.
