Dare to Dream presents "Haley's Laps Against Leukemia" Midget Race
on Friday, April 10th at Manzanita Speedway. This race will be 30 laps on the 1/3 mile track. This race will pay $2,000 to win and $200 to start. There will be a bonus to the high point driver for the combined races from Friday's and Saturday's Midget Races.

Entries may be limited so please register by March 30th. For registration and information, please call 602-690-1968.

Last year Ron & Paula Shuman were notified that their niece "Haley" had been diagnosed with leukemia. After hearing the news they obtained the support of Manzanita Speedway and held the first annual Haley's Laps Against Leukemia race that hosted all the Shuman drivers. Last years race was just a few laps to say "thank you" to the fans for their help in making the event such a great success. "We truly appreciated the awesome support we received during our event last year". Thus, we are inviting you back to enjoy a 30 lap open competition midget race. Ron Shuman will be racing the entire night to say "Thanks" to Manzanita Speedway and everyone who supported the track for so many years.

Manzanita Speedway manager "Hollywood" has given us his blessing to incorporate Haley's race during their final weekend of racing events. Dare to Dream will also host a silent auction throughout the weekend to help support Phoenix Children's Hospital Toy Drive. Many people have donated some of racing's most desirable memorabilia so don't miss your chance to own a part of racing history.

I talked to Shuman Saturday and trust me, he's going to be running to win...He had that big grin on, just talking about it.... I'll be there, just for that..

Do you guys remember the last SCRA shirt that I have? I described it here once... The one with all the drivers in the cars they drove, starting with Hogle and seven more champs? Rob, you know what one I'm talking about.. Well Ronnie told me he has two of them signed by the drivers, and he was going to auction them off friday night.
