Good looking car. I don't remember the colored stripes under Luxaire and after a quick google search I see there were different versions of this black "scheme".
I have the front wing, hanging on my wall of that car.

I know where there is a top wing of this scheme just laying behind some dudes house near where I live. It's just fading & wasting away in the sun. You can see it from the road. I need to go over there American Pickers style and see if he would be willing to sell.

I well remember his viscious wreck at Eldora. So glad he walked away from it.

Did Hillenburg win his last WoO race he entered? He won the 2001 WoO finale at Vegas and I can't find any evidence he ever raced with them again. Pretty cool if he won his last WoO race.

It appears that you are correct, as in pulling up 2002 WoO standings chart, his name does not appear anywhere. Hard to believe he's been retired for 20 years now, but it's true. Saw a recent YouTube video interview of Andy now and he's got a pretty nice setup in his shop where he keeps his hot rods. Always liked him.

Back to his wreck at Eldora, I dont' recall the actual touch/contact, but he helicoptered, spun around, stayed on his wheel, but the car was junked, I think he walked away. Woudl be nice to hear from him, how he's doing, where life's taken him. Same for many other drivers, Lance Blevins, is another from the earlier years.
