Couldn't Hoseheads or some other admin create a Facebook group to use instead of this hide behind your keyboard forum?
That way "real" people would be held accountable for what they say and the admins can weed out users and comments permanently (cough cough).
I for one would enjoy it. Name it "Hoseheads Sprint Car Discussion Group".
Here's hoping someone does it.

I have nothing to hide that is why I use my name.
Twitter is going to be good! Even though I don't have an account on either Facebook or Twitter.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

What you are asking for is not needed. There's a ton of sprint car groups already on Facebook. Type in "sprint cars" on Facebook, go to the Group listings, and you can take your pick of which one to join. The groups on Facebook won't have the Hoseheads name, but we already have this forum for that...

There are tons of facebook pages.
I run a private facebook page to try keep away from the riff raff. It is more photo oriented. It's no where near the level of Hoseheads. However, I guarantee you won't have to deal with Strawser (or Chuckie) there.
Sprint Car Pictorial -- you have to ask for an invite:

Social media platforms will come & go but Hoseheads SCF will always remain the gold standard for legitimate upstanding sprint car racing information & discussion.
Now begone with your attempted coup.
Hoseheads is the World of Outlaws, FB is the United Sprint Association.
Hoseheads is the World of Outlaws, FB is the National Sprint Tour.
Hoseheads is Caddyshack, FB is new Caddyshack 2.
Hoseheads is,,well you get the picture.

Seems like a lot of the Sprint Car and dirt racing discussions more closely mirror a group discussing their favorite TV show (streaming racing). At least we have that going for us, that this forum predates YouTube and social media. we are those "old fossils" who used to actually go to the track to watch. Not that I have anything against streaming, it fits my age and lack of desire to travel, but this hangout is an original that should be preserved like some kind of historic building.

OK, I gotta admit that the Caddyshack reference made me laugh. What is SCF?

So, here we are, sitting on a barstool at our favorite neighborhood dive bar. It looks like I've been here since about... 2005.It's comfortable here. I'm familiar with most of the regulars and I know what to expect from the troublemakers. I'm on Facebook. It seems to be the equivilent of an agry, drunk mob at a sketchy bar looking for a barroom brawl. I believe I'll just sit here on my stool.

I don't think you know your audience very well. Hoseheads has remained a staple in the sprint car community for decades for a reason. This form isn't built on the people who want Facebook groups.

Facebook has bigger problems with riff raff than this message board. Sad but true.
Don't worry. Hoseheads isn't going nowhere.

There is a hilarious twitter post from one of Pa.'s best drivers about going to the Hoseheads message board.
"bstrawser26, who claims to be the guru of track prep but only ever watches online from, most likely, his moms basement. Everyone hates him & his alter ego Wingedspeed. They are the best for a big laugh since both are clueless as shit, lol."

I don't want to be apart of that social media.....it is none of anyones business what or where I a going. Besides I like free speech both social media platforms don't have that.....unless you agree with them.
Wrong again. I go to the races a lot. My next race is when the outlaws come to town at the Grove. I can't go this weekend due to a prior commitment.
BTW. Both my parents are no longer with us. They both passed away a while back. I am happily married for over 30 years now with 3 children.
I know what is good and what is not good when it come to track prep. So who cares what you think?
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

I don't agree with stawsac much but I do enjoy free speech. Some people just love to fight losing battles, eventually they get beat down and crawl away.

There are plenty of sprint car Facebook groups. Literally anyone with a FB account can create their own.
You may not like NOT knowing who each poster is but that does allow for people to divulge information that they may not have shared, if we knew who each poster really was.
We may not all agree and sometimes we get WAY off subject but I can tell you 100% that I visit this page wayyy more often than any other Facebook group. Twitter is a better source to go if you want to know who each person is sharing info on social media. Many drivers, teams, drivers spouses, sponsors etc are active on twitter.
Keep It Real
