With today's awesome news of Brock Zearfoss joining the Outlaws full time next season, my friend and I were talking about the full time drivers for the season. Here's what I was able to come up with based on what I have seen:

Jacob Allen

Logan Schuchart

David Gravel

Brock Zearfoss

Jason Sides

Kraig Kinser

Donny Schatz

Sheldon Haudenschild

Carson Macedo

Brad Sweet

Aaron Reutzel

I am assuming Kinser is running becuse I don't recall hearing anything to the contrary. Does anybody know if Wayne Johnson, Bill Rose or Mason Daniel will be running again? Even with the loss of Pittman and Stewart, this is a really good field of drivers. We are already excited about next season and are hopeful that we will again have racing here on the West coast.

No doubt a great field again.  I know someone on here will start bitching about numbers, blah blah blah.  Good field of cars.  

I believe I saw that Wayne Johnson was returning for 2021

So who are your top three going into next year?  And more importantly, how many does Jacob win?

I think that this is Gravel's year. The 2 car looks to me to be a strong car. Madsen was always fast and competitive in it and Gravel is an elite driver. Sweet has been really good so I'm going go pick him for the top 3 as well. After that it becomes tougher. It's hard to bet against Schatz, but Schuchart or Haudenschild could do it too. I'm going to say Schatz though. He's just so consistent. 

I'm hopeful that Jacob will win again. I'm not sure he's ready to get multiple wins yet, though. Shark Racing is my favorite and I pull for those two every night. I hope that Sheldon does well, too. He's one of the most exciting drivers that I've seen.

That would be great if he did. It's great to see him out there and he seems like a cool guy. I'd like to have the chance to see him out here on the West coast.

2021 will look pretty similar. 1-Sweet 2- Schatz 3-Schuchart      4- Gravel 5- Haud. There will be no nail biting points chase going into Charlotte in November. If the supposed 90+ race schedule happens, 49 and 15 will distance themselves from the rest points wise. Brad has a great year and wins races and is consistant. Donny starts to run better and is consistant as always. Logan hes about the same this year gets a few wins and is consistant. Gravel has some good runs wins a few wins but has some bad finishes. Same thing with Haud. Suprisingly, Zearfoss runs slightly better than A-Aaron and wins ROTY. 

Sheldon has a shot at having a Gravel type year in 2021. What I mean is he's got a great shot at double digit wins and a top 3 in points if they can keep the momentum up from 2020. I don't think he'll be a threat for the championship yet because he's not consistent enough, but I can see 12 wins and a win at one of the big events potentially. 

I think you may be right if Gravel ends up with no Nascar distractions.  Assuming he is going to run all of the races next year, and not be pulled from the seat, I would put him as one of the top 2 or 3 in odds to win it all.  

This is a fun prediction. 

So, my picks for top-3:  (and win predictions assuming a full Outlaw season---and Larson doesn't steal 10 wins again)

1.  Gravel---16-18 wins assuming he runs all races

2.  Schatz---9-11 wins as he rises from the "ashes"----if he ever were in the ashes

3.  Sweet---7-9 wins---he won't falter necessarily, but Gravel and Schatz will step up their games

(Schuchart and Sheldon on their heals)

Jacob, 4 wins in 2021 and 7th in points.  

I will bet you a gift card to the restaurant of your choice for a steak dinner that gravel is not top 2 in points and does not get more than 12 wins. I'm tempted to say less than 10, but if the get 90ish races in he MIGHT get 12. And another steak dinner that Sweet gets the amount you predicted for gravel and donny has double digit wins.

Good luck to Brock, I've watched him from his 358 days and knew he had talent then. Hopefully his team is ready for the outlaw grind. Sorry to get back on topic

I say gravel doesn't finish the year out in the 2 car. I'm saying the guy to watch in 2020 is Jacob Allen, throughout 2020 I believe he was the most improved driver on tour. WoO champion for 2021, little haud, I think he puts it all together in 21. I'm saying the top 6 guys Sweet, Logan, Shatz, Allen, Sheldon, Macedo go down to the wire for the title.

Too bad for Allstars tho, they were really exciting this past season

It was good to have Reutzel run the all stars but they only had 6 full timers at the end. The all stars are much less about who drives for them as they are about the races they schedule. They do a great job of delivering a car count whether that be full time or part time guys and being part of big events whether it be the Tusky 50 or Ohio Speedweek. 

And to a casual fan, if Rico and others show up at all your big events, it's not going to matter to them if they don't race a random show in Plymouth Indiana or whatever. 

 Not if Zearfoss pulls the same shit he did last year with the Allstars. My guess is, he's back to the porch by the west coast swing. 

I'm not sold on Gravel in the 2 car for some reason. To me I think he actually takes a step back in some respects. Granted, Gravel does increase the performace of every ride he has been in but I have some sort of gut feeling that he may not have as much success in the 2 car as the 41. I think Philip Deitz is really under rated when it comes to what he does with a car and had they stayed together this year I would agree with the 16-18wins and a championship. Now though, I am not sure.

I think Sweet starts racing for wins again and not points and hold on again. Going Sweet, Schatz, Schuchart, Gravel, Haudenschild, Macedo, Reutzel, Zearfross, Allen, Kinser.

Glad to see Zearfross taking the chance. Granted I don't think he will contest for a championship, he has shown he is a capable driver. Nice to see people chasing their dreams and hopefully it is worth it to him. With the Outlaws adding more point money and race money it could help more individuals like Zearfross to go on the road. 

Yeah they said the samething about team Shark...Covid was the reason for their decision. Not knowing which tracks would be shut down. They made the right call to come home where they knew races were definitely happening..

That's great! Hopefully every team in the country joins the outlaws so that we don't have any local weekly shows or other sanctions anymore. Who needs 'em?

I don't know why everyone is so high on Brock Zearfoss joining the 2021 Outlaw tour.  Personally I do not see him staying with it longer than about halfway through.  Maybe by the time they come to Williams Grove in May, he will be ready to pull the plug on it and chase local money again.  Especially since the local fields seem so thin right now with quality cars competing.
