What's up everyone. Thinking of making a trip to PA this year. Most likely Port Royal. Just dont know if ut would be better to go to the. Tuscora 50 or the Outlaw show. Also wondering where to camp and if there are any restaurants, things to do in town. Thanks for the responses.

Tuscarora Fifty for sure. Camping at the track. Won't need restuants with the fair going on.

There is camping at the speedway and there is campgrounds within a few miles of the track. The Weikert Memorial in May is a must see show with 410 sprints and super late models both days.

Agree with the above. Tuscarora 50 without a doubt. Friday/Saturday with the Fair going on. Camping at the track and all the food and entertainment you could possibly want.

Weikert Memorial over the Memorial Day holiday weekend would be a second choice.

Tuscarora 50 for sure. Always a star studded field of cars. The weather is still usually nice although that time of year, it sometimes can get a bit chilly once the sun goes down but not unbearable. With it being a fair race, it goes without saying that the food options are off the charts & the atmosphere is unlike any other race you will attend anywhere. It is truly one of the best events in the country.

If your going to the tuscarore 50 just a little heads up

make sure you get reserved seats...the place is packed...not a seat to be had if you don't reserve or get there when it opens

i see your going to camp so you won't have to face the traffic....traffic backs almost to rutters on race day

they are right about the food ...more than you can imagine

and the field of cars is worth all the wait and the place has made a lot of updates...nice seating with backs

enjoy yourself its worth the trip

You can’t go wrong with either one. The quality of the field will be better at the Outlaw show, but will be more cars at Tuscarora 50 and there’s no question the 50 is the bigger and more prestigious race.

Really down to whether you like the Outlaws more than Central Pa/All star guys.

Depends on what you mean by "things to do in town" . Like others have mentioned, Tusky 50 is during the Fair (right there at track)

Its a really pretty area to drive around. Coming from Ohio, I suggest the "scenic route" shortcut (?)  Rt.144 off I-80, over the mountain & thru the woods. Only 2 lane road I've ever seen with a runaway truck ramp.... wink

If you're coming to the 50 check mid summer with the track, the camping spots are reserved. The camping atmosphere and the fair provides a lot to do all weekend. If you drink beer make sure to bring your own, they don't sell it at the track.

The drive down 144 is scenic, but as someone who rows a camper to the races weekly I wouldn't tow that way. From Ohio I'd take I80 to 322 or I76 to Route 75 (76 is tolled in PA).

After the races at the 50 there's a barn party with a DJ and a lot of drivers and crews hang out, always a good time.

The barn party is in the livestock barn that's behind the pit area in the corner of the fairgrounds.

The 50 or the Weikert Memorial which is also all-star sanctioned this year, 2 day show with super late models.
