Cycleland Speedway Adds Prelims To Kyle Larson’s Outlaw Kart Showcase Presented By BRANDT
Cornelius, NC (August 3, 2018) - Cycleland Speedway has announced the addition of a race, and a practice night, leading into the start of the Kyle Larson Outlaw Kart Showcase Presented By BRANDT. The most prestigious race in outlaw karting will now be preceeded by a standard point race on Saturday September 1, and a practice the next night, before the Showcase gets underway on Monday and Tuesday.
“We’ve had requests over the years to race on the Saturday prior to the Showcase, usually from the long tow racers, and we agree that this will be a great enhancement to the event,” said Cycleland promoter Lowell Moural. “We’ve also added the practice on Sunday, so there should be ample opportunities to get your kart dialed in for the big shows on Monday and Tuesday.”
Regular weekly divisions – Beginner Box Stocks, Box Stocks, 250 Intermediates, Open Intermediates, Opens, and Sportsman - will compete in the Saturday event. Everyone is eligible to return for the practice the next night. Pit gates will open at noon, with festivities scheduled to begin at 5:30 on Saturday and 6:00 on Sunday. Pit passes will be the standard weekly price of $25 on race day Saturday, and $20 for the Sunday practice. General admission will be $10 for adults and $5 for kids on Saturday, while free admission will be provided on Sunday.
Outlaw Kart Showcase prices will be a $30 pit pass on Monday and $35 on Tuesday. General admission will be $20 for adults and $10 for kids on Monday, and $22 for adults and $10 for kids on Tuesday. Times will be announced at a later date for Monday and Tuesday events.
