I see Dobmier plans on being here. Dont see anything on Rico

or if Tim Shaffer plans to stop in. I know the All Stars

are racing so that takes those full time series drivers out.

plus i guess a few of the IRA boys will show up.

Yeah I’d like to see a list too.  Hard to name off people when we do t have the pre-entry list but looks like Paul N will be there as well as Dom Scelzi.  Those are the only ones I’ve seen via twitter.

Is there any special format for this? Or is it just 2 normal $10k-to-win shows and $40k on Saturday?

Is it me or is this event lacking a palpable "buzz."  I'm quite active on social media, etc. and for an event of this magnitude ($300k + in purse $, $3k to start, three day event, etc.) there doesn't seem to be a lot of "buzz" or discussion or excitement around the interwebs.  Is there some, absolutely, just not as much as I'd expect.  I'm not talking like Nats buzz, but KR buzz / Natty open buzz.  Hopefully as the weekend starts this evening we'll see it more on socal media.

WOO posted the format on twitter, looks like they are using points from the full show Thursday / Friday to make up the field Sat.

I'm in the same boat as you.  3rd highest paying purse of the year and not much action out there.  Maybe because it looks like rain for tonight?  I know I'm looking forward to it!

I'm not sure either, but I know it's been "quiet" on social fronts for weeks.  I could not get away from posts, buzz, etc. about the Mansifeld Race (yes I know it was $100k to win) and I've seen tons about the Doty coming up (yes I know BD has a great following on social media), but it's been almost crickets for this event.  Weird.

Enjoy it !

It’s an event that needs to build over time.

As long as there is strong local interest they should be fine.

I was thinking the same thing. For the size of the purse and it being a WoO show, I would expect more buzz. I'm not a huge twitter follower so maybe I'm missing something there. Although there has been quite a few Facebook posts from the motorplex this week.

Regardless, I am pumped for this event so glad to be able to attend once again this year! This is a great little community and an even better racetrack!! C'mon mother nature, play nice

I agree, but it is an event with a lot of history even if there was a period where it was 360s.  The Mansfield Race was in its first year and yeah it had the "100k" Headline, but man it was everywhere (and someone had to write those headlines).  Cody and his team did a phenomenal job creating buzz surrounding that event.  It can be done.  But I agree as long as it garners support at the track it's a win. Just weird to me that they haven't capiltizied on some extensive digital exposure.

I'm sitting in an office in downtown St. Paul watching the Thursday night forecast.  They got rain down there this morning and are showing a 70% chance of 1/2" to 3/4" starting around 8pm.  I can't cover the cost of going so I was planning on getting Dirtvision for 30 days.  If it looks bad tonight I will wait and start it tomorrow night.  They're showing 40% Friday night and is not supposed to hit up here by the Cities until the wee hours of the morning.

There's a lot of buzz around here about it aside from the internet. There's also been talk for the last several days about the weather forecast.....so I think people are staying quiet hoping that will keep the weather at bay.......Smile    That and I don't see many active social media users from around here on the web.... FINGERS ARE CROSSED!

Not sure of the exact points format, but points awarded for tonight and tomorrow night will designate who the top four are after two nights, and those four will be locked in on Saturday night. So it works out to be three full nights of racing.....not just features on the final night.
