I think it’s safe to say Kemenah has his hands full this year trying to regain his championship. The level of competition currently touring with the ASCoC is a stout field of talent. We all knew this coming into the year, but with some uncertainties on who all was really going to run for points. The early season dust has settled and it might be a bit soon to say, but, it looks like it’s going to be a good points race. Well there’s always the chance of someone getting hot and running away with the points, we will just have to see. My opinion is, it will be close ..!

Here is the top 10 as of now. Who’s your pick to win the points race ??

Not just because I’m from Texas, I’m going with Aaron Reutzel. He does really well on first time visits to new tracks and on top of that he’s wicked fast on just about every race surface. Plus I think it would be pretty cool for a rookie of the year to win a championship. Whether its Reutzel or one of the other rookies.

Aaron Reutzel

Jac Haudenschild

Parker Price Miller

Chad kemenah

Dave Blaney

Tim Shaffer

Carson Macedo

Cale Conley

Carl Bowser

Cole Duncan

Jac from starting 16th to finishing 3rd at Sharon Speedway! WTG JAC!  Probably a long shot but gotta root for Jac to win the championship. Washed up old timer that some people may think he is.......NOT!

I think the points race will come down to Reutzel and Jac battling for the championship ... He's far from washed up, is always exciting to watch and draws a crowd ...!!

Reutzel and Jac went at it a couple years ago at the short track nationals on a super rough cowboy up track. Jac started 12th and Reutzel started 13th. Reutzel passed him with one to go for the win ... They are both bad asses on rough tracks ..!!

I still think Chad is the favorite.  He's top 5 almost every night and that leads to championships.   Jac and Reuztel are going to win races, but can they avoid the bad nights?  Speedweek is going to tell us alot.  That's when things get sorted out and Chad has won the speedweek points the last two years.

Agreed, Chad had to go to the work area saturday which is why his finish was so low and dropped him from the point lead to where he is now, but I'd expect all the contenders will experience such a night with bad luck throughout the year to even it out. Chad is just so consistent night in and night out.

I've been really impressed with Carson Macedo as well. That is a solid team.

Ohio Sprintweek should be awesome!

I've been saying this too for weeks (and before the season started).  Macedo is a "darkhorse" Top 3 Points guy.  I don't think he'll win the points but he'll be Top 5 and possibly a Top 3 team.  They're consistent and if it wasn't for a couple blown tires would be higher at this juncture.  Chad is sooooo consistent that he is still the favorite when you take a step back.  Speedweek will tell the tale.  I'm curious to see if Jac can stay consistent all season and find a balance between wreckers and checkers...I mean i doubt he'll find a balance but it's just a matter of if the checkers faaarrr outweigh the wreckers.

Everything aside, it's an exciting year for the All Stars for sure.  Lots of talent young and old.

The 87 is the fastest car with the all-stars and 1 of the fastest in the country.

I originally made this post 7 races into the season and all said was a crapshoot. Well here we are with 9 races left and It’s interesting to see how the predictions are turning out.

I called a close point battle and that’s exactly what it’s been. My pic of Jac being in the mix, well, not so much. What I didn’t see coming was how fast and consistent Macedo was going to be, really impressive to say the least. The kid is fast !!. But what’s more impressive is Reutzel’s 8 wins !! WoW !! I didn’t see that coming at all. Also, he’s done really well in PA, not an easy feat. If someone would have said at this point in the season the All Stars would take 6 out of 10 races in PA, I would have laughed at them.

I’m still holding on to Reutzel winning the championship, with Macedo giving him a run for the money all the way to the end and with Kemenah rounding out the top 3.

Either way it’s been a great year of competition on the ASCoC tour. I hope we can say the same thing for next year, but I’m not holding my breath. My opinion is, both Reutzel and Macedo will be running with the WoO next year. To bad and so sad for Tony and the ASCoC.
