Jac Haudenchild was quick time. Jac spun out on his first lap of qualifying and had to be pushed off again to do the second lap.

Ryan Smith tore up a nice looking race car in Heat 2 action. Ryan rode up and over a large inside track marker tire coming out of turn 2 flipping hard... He was OK but it ended his night...

Lance Dewease started in the middle of the field for the A-main & no one could touch him. Lance said in an after race interview that the track took rubber and locked down about a third of the way through the feature. He rode around at about 3/4 throttle the last 5 laps so the right rear wouldn't blow....

I think it's amazing with the age of DB sr. how you have the all stars there with many having a better starting spot than Dewease. Yet, he still gets it done when the bigger races are on the line.

This team put on a clinic of a hard, black, and dry track.  I am not surprised!  I am sure tonight at Port will be more of the same. Because it is going to be sunny and hot all day.

Very disappointed in one driver interview from last night.  The winner came from 13th and made it look easy....that is the bottom line.

Like it or not you were passed by a rocket on a dry track.  BTW I don't have a favorite driver anymore, mine passed away about 9 years ago and havn't been able to find a new favorite.  I can admire when there is a car heads and shoulders above the rest on a given night.

Agree 100% about the driver interview. He is a tremdenous talent and I do root for him, but he always has to get a DIG in whether it is about a track, conditions or another driver etc. Lance put on a clinic and DD has nothing to complain about. Lance simpley outdrove him last night.

Let's not overlook the fact that he kicked the butts of the rest of the Posse drivers also! Hand that trophy to Davey Brown Sr. It was pretty evident that the 69K was capable of doing things the rest of the field couldn't do. Like forward bite......maintain a straight line....put the power down and out horsepower/torque the rest of the field.  Just shows what the best of the past can still do, when Davey Sr teams up with an experienced driver like Lance. Who today has seen more change in sprint cars and sprint car racing hands on than Davey Brown Sr?  I'd say probably nobody. So much for most of today's talent when facing a combination like that. That and throw in the dificulty of a proper set up that is fitting of Williams Grove. Only a handful of talented mechanics and drivers over the years have been able to come in and conquer the place. It's not so much beating other drivers there as it is beating the track and configuration. And of course yeh, over the years there have been local drivers there that have conquered it, also.

I see Lance's traction control standing to the right of him in victory lane.

Lance was really impressive last night. I can’t remember seeing a guy come from that far back using multiple lanes to get it done. Usually when someone passes that many cars at the grove it’s usually because everybody is running the top and that guy finds the bottom. Last night lance was running everywhere and could seemingly pass at will.

Too Bad Schatz wasnt there he could have started 14th beside Lance and race would have been which one got to the front first.

Any one could see after five laps the only car going straight and forward wasthe 69k.

“Actually, I didn’t even know I was leading it,” Dewease said. “When I got by Danny and got by [Zearfoss], I didn’t know who was leading. I was just trying to get past every car I got to as quick as possible.

“They gave me the five to go signal, and I’m like, ‘Shit, I’m leading this thing.’ Then, I had to slow down, because I knew there wasn’t much on these tires.”

If his ego could win races, he'd win 30+ a year. Can't take a thing away from his talent. He's one of the best there is right now. I used to be a fan but just about every time he opens his mouth or hits the send key on his phone anymore, it's something of the same nature as what we heard last night. Get over it dude. You got beat by the fastest car in PA. He earned it. Quit acting like a spoiled kid.
