Texas World Dirt Track Championship Registration Opens! Sprint Cars Race Both Nights May 13-14!

Ft. Worth TX (3/15/2016) by DarinShort.com. Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) officials are proud to kick off their 2016 dirt racing calendar with the Texas World Dirt Track Championship at the TMS Dirt Track. The event is scheduled for May 13th and 14th featuring the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series, Factory Stocks and Limited Modifieds – competing for over $83,000 in cash. New for this event, the Sprint Cars will be competing in a complete racing program each night.

And today, at www.darinshort.com/world.html online event registration has opened.

At this special registration site, there is a link for each race division to preregister their team, purchase advance 2-day pit passes (saves $10), reserve a paved pit space (while supplies last) and sign up for practice night. The event brochure is also linked there, containing many more details.

The Factory Stocks and Limited Modifieds can save $40/each on their entry by getting registered between now and April 29th. After that date ‘race week’ pricing will be in effect. Car numbers are assigned on a first-come basis, so if there is a number you want, it is a good idea to register as soon as possible for the best chance of getting it.

Note that there is no Sprint Car entry fee due to TMS for this event, but those teams can still purchase 2-day pit passes, practice night entry and reserved parking at the registration website.

TMS will add two provisional starters to the Factory Stock and Limited Modified Championship features – but those names will be drawn from pre-entered drivers only, so don't miss out on this second chance! To be considered an “Early Entered Driver” your entry must be received (online or postmarked) by April 29th. The Factory Stocks and Limited Modifieds championship features each pay $2,000 to win and $400 to start!

There are 120 paved, reserved parking spaces available for this event. Once those spaces have been reserved, all other teams will be parked by TMS officials upon their arrival at the speedway. Purchase pit parking while supplies last at the event website...and it always sells out early, so if you know you need a spot, you'll want to get entered as soon as possible.

Teams can pay using any major credit or debit card and all transactions are secured through PayPal, an eBay company that has soared to over 179 million active accounts, and processes 4.9 billion online transactions per year. You do not have to be a PayPal member to use this free service.

Teams can make multiple purchases on the registration section within the same transaction, which will save time and typing. When you are on the registration page, continue to select ‘add to cart’ items until you are finished and a separate window will contain the items you have selected. You can also edit the invoice before you make your final purchase.

Printable event schedules, rules and more can also be found at the link listed above. If you would prefer to enter by mail, there is an event brochure at the above link that you can print, fill out and mail in your payment. For those not familiar with the TMS layout, there is also a link to a map of the property.

The Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series will have a complete racing program of heats and features each night, Friday May 13th and Saturday, May 14th. The Friday night program pays $3,000 to win and $400 to start while the Saturday night feature pays $4,000 to win and $400 to start.

This National ASCS points event is also a doubleheader with ASCS Red River Region, so a great mix of National and Regional drivers will be on hand, including drivers such as Aaron Reutzel, Blake Hahn, Brad Loyet, Brad Queen, Brandon Hanks, Chance Morton, Charles McManus, Fred Mattox, Johnny Herrera, Josh Baughman, Kade Morton, Kevin Ramey, Kyle Bellm, Matt Covington, Mickey Walker, Ryan Padgett, Sam Hafertepe, Jr., Seth Bergman, Steven Russell, Wayne Johnson - plus many more.

If you need racing parts, fuel or Hoosier tires for this event, you should contact www.SmileysRacing.com as they will be on hand to keep racers on track at this event. If you place your order ahead of time, they will deliver it to the track, thus saving shipping expense.

Race fans can purchase grandstand tickets to this great weekend of racing for just $20 on Friday and $25 on Saturday. Kids ages 12 and under will be admitted for $10 each night. Get your tickets by clicking www.TexasMotorSpeedway.com or calling 817-215-8500. There is no charge for grandstand parking. Outside food/drinks are not allowed through the ticket gates, a full range of food and drinks are available for purchase under the main grandstand area. Grandstands open at 5:30pm nightly. Racing kicks off at 7pm on Friday and 8pm Saturday. The pit area opens at noon daily.

There is a practice night scheduled on Thursday May 12th at 7pm, however the main grandstand area is closed. Pit gates open on Thursday at noon as well.
