Kris Spitz, Spitz 4K, No Time.

Maynard scrubs his 2nd lap off the banking above turns 1-2 and coasts around to the line. Warren stalled out on his 1st lap and was given only 1. Dubs spins on his 1st lap and takes 1 lap. Reinke makes a rare ½ spin on his 1st lap and takes 1 for the score. Fahl had a mechanical issue on his 2nd lap. Spitz made no attempt for time.

MPD Race Products Heat (10 Laps) Top-4 transfer to Feature
1. Travis Whitney [4]; 2. Wayne Johnson [6]; 3. Scott Neitzel [5]; 4. Patrick Haynes [1]; 5. Todd Lehr [2]; 6. Billy Hafemann [3]; 7. Scott Lenz [7]; 8. Tim VanDerVere [8]; 9. Brian Portschy [10]; 10. Adam Schroeder [9].

Whitney leads out of turn 2 until the yellow is out after 1 lap when Neitzel and VanDerVere unrelated double spin in the middle of turns 1-2. Whitney led Lehr, Haynes, Hafemann and Johnson to the restart as Johnson made disposal of Hafemann, Lehr and Haynes by the end of Lap-4 was solidly in 2nd. Neitzel is back into a transfer position by Lap-6 on the backstretch.

Weld Wheels Heat
1. Dave Moulis [4]; 2. John Haeni [6]; 3. Rick Kelsey [2]; 4. Joe Symoens [1]; 5. Johnny Fahl [7]; 6. Scott Semmelman [9]; 7. Steve Meyer [5]; 8. Russel Borland [8]; 9. Keith Fellner [10]; DNF-Scott Biertzer [3].

Kelsey leads out of turn 2 as Symoens, Moulis and Haeni take a lap-or-two to sort themselves out. Lap-4: Yellow after Borland spins/stalls turn 2. Biertzer would power into the lead out of turn 2 as Meyer takes 4th only until he busts a 360 spin hard on the gas and gets his tail tank shoved downward and stalls on Lap-7 out of turn 4. Biertzer and Moulis had a great back-and-forth for the lead prior. Restart was waved off for ‘?’. Lap-8: Biertzer spins backwards down the backstretch after a touch for position and would be towed off the track. The Green-White-Checker had little change as Haeni would take 2nd.

VMAC Racing Heat
1. Billy Warren [1]; 2. Bill Wirth [2]; 3. Ricky Logan [4]; 4. Scott Uttech [6]; 5. Wayne Modjeski [8]; 6. Mike Dubbs [7]; 7. Ryan Irwin [3]; 8. Tommy Sexton [5]; 9. Jeremy Schroeder [9]; DNF-Kirk Fehrman [10].

Warren takes the lead over Wirth, Logan and Irwin on the start. Lap-2: Yellow is out after Fehrman spins/stalls in turn 3 and was taken pitside via hook. Uttech moved into 4th on the restart and washed out of turn 2 and lost 2-3 spots a lap later. Lap-8: Sexton steps up for the challenge for the transfer spot and takes it out of turn 2. Lap-9: Yellow is out after Sexton and Irwin double spin after contact on the backstretch, both remained under power and sent to the tail. Sexton had nearly made it up into 2nd for a moment prior to the spin. Green-White-Checker set up for Warren and Wirth safe as Logan holds a charging Uttech from the back. Irwin pulls infield to address his spin issue with IRA Officials after checkers.

Lane Automotive Heat
1. Mike Reinke [1]; 2. Brian Kristan [4]; 3. Donny Goeden [6]; 4. Darrell Dodd [3]; 5. Scott Young [5]; 6. David O’Neal [8]; 7. Kris Spitz [10]; 8. Dave Uttech [7]; DNF-Dave Maynard [9]; DNF-Kim Mock [2].

Mock loses the handle off the banking above turns 1-2 and is moved to the tail to restart. Reinke would lead and run this one once it got going but the red is out after 1 lap when Mock, Uttech, Maynard and Spitz are all involved in which Mock flips in turn 2 backstretch wall and was checked for medical issues. Nothing more given at track concerning conditions. Uttech towed into work area as Maynard and Spitz went for spins into the infield. Reinke held off charges from Kristan as Goeden held off Dodd. Maynard would duck off track above turn 4 and sit for a push around Lap-8. Kristan smokes crossing the checkers and would not run the rest of the night after that.

First Behling Racing Equipment B Feature (12 Laps) Top-3 transfer.
1. Steve Meyer [1]; 2. Scott Biertzer [3]; 3. Todd Lehr [4]; 4. Wayne Modjeski [7]; 5. Tim VanDerVere [6]; 6. Mike Dubbs [5]; 7. Jeremy Schroeder [9]; 8. Adam Schroeder [8]; 9. Kris Spitz [12]; 10. Keith Fellner [11]; 11. Dave Maynard [10]; DNF-Scott Young [2].

Meyer leads the field and the distance. Initial yellow came out before the end of Lap-1 for a tangle between Modjeski, VanDerVere and A. Schroeder on the bottom of turn 4 as all kept it fired, but VanDerVere is sent to the tail for a complete restart. Young is taken out after he taps Biertzer in turn 3 and easily flops over on Lap-2. About ½ way and Biertzer was well safe in 2nd so Dubbs and Lehr would battle back-and-forth for the transfer spot and each would have 3rd several times around the track at times touching wheels and moving each other aside. Yellow is out on Lap-9 after Maynard spins/stall low in turn 4. On the restart, Dubs and Lehr swap 3rd time and time again as Modjeski would enter the fray and take 4th after Dubs finally miscalculates out of turn 2 and loses his last chance to transfer late.

Second Behling Racing Equipment B Feature (12 Laps)
1. Ryan Irwin [3]; 2. Dave Uttech [5]; 3. David O’Neal [7]; 4. Johnny Fahl [9]; 5. Brian Portschy [10]; 6. Scott Semmelman [8]; 7. Russel Borland [6]; 8. Billy Hafemann [2]; 9. Scott Lenz [4]; DNF-Tommy Sexton [1]; DNS-Kirk Fehrman.

Sexton leads Irwin and the rest of the rookie contender laden field for a short time as Irwin takes the lead out of turn 2. Lap-3: Yellow is out after Borland spin/stalls in turn 2. Irwin uses a low line sliding up to the top out of the turns to lead as the field is mostly running top side all around. Uttech and Hafemann would swap 3rd a few times mostly who ever could get out of turn 2 the fastest. Lap-7: Yellow is out after Lenz busts a spin and remained fired. One lap later, Sexton (running 2nd) would stall entering turns 1-2 and luckily with field scrambling to find a safe line away from his stalled car, but no serious problems sans Hafemann sliding late. Semmelman also slid by but stayed fired. Sexton was done with mechanical issues. Irwin held the unusual line to keep Uttech at bay on the restart.

A Feature (30 Laps)
1. Wayne Johnson $2,500 [4]; 2. Donny Goeden [1]; 3. John Haeni [3]; 4. Scott Biertzer [13]; 5. Travis Whitney [8]; 6. Scott Uttech [2]; 7. Mike Reinke [11]; 8. Dave Moulis [7]; 9. Ricky Logan [6]; 10. Darrell Dodd [5]; 11. Scott Neitzel [9]; 12. Steve Meyer [12]; 13. Bill Wirth [17]; 14. Wayne Modjeski [22]; 15. Rick Kelsey [16]; 16. Joe Symoens [20]; 17. Patrick Haynes [18]; DNF-18. Ryan Irwin [14]; DNF-19. Todd Lehr [15]; DNF-20. Billy Warren [10]; DNF-21. David O’Neal [21]; DNF-22. Dave Uttech [19].
Alternate: Johnny Fahl.
Lap leaders: Donny Goeden 1-14, Wayne Johnson 15-30.

Kristan would not make the call after mechanical issues after his heat. Goeden would lead the first 8 green flag laps over Logan, Johnson, Dodd, S. Uttech and Haeni. About time Goeden would have entered slower traffic, the yellow is out after Haynes stalls in turn 1. Lap-11: Johnson takes 2nd as D. Uttech is pit side. Lap-15: Reinke is up to 9th as Johnson takes the lead out of turn 2 and down the backstretch. O’Neal pulls infield around Lap-17, as the yellow is out a lap later after Logan busts a 360 spin in the middle of turn 4. He restarts at the tail. Johnson would lead the Top-10 of Goeden, Dodd, Haeni, Moulis, Neitzel, Reinke, Biertzer, S. Uttech and Whitney. Another lap of green in which Haeni takes 3rd and Biertzer moved around a couple and is moving very well on the bottom as everyone else is top side until the yellow is out for a broken front left wheel or axle brings Warren to a stop out of turn 4. Restart and Biertzer is in the Top-5 out of turn 2. The low line is usually mastered by Meyer at Wilmot but Biertzer is making it look just as good. Lap-24: Yellow is out after Haynes tangles with somebody and stalls in turn 3, he would tag the tail. Logan has moved back up to about 13th. After a bunch of laps in which 10th-15th was up for grabs with several guys banging wheels and at times-4 wide for positions and something had to finally give and it all ended after Lehr is sent flipping down the front stretch. Irwin suffers from a busted front end as he was shoved from behind and tags Lehr. The final Green-White-Checker of the night had Mr. Sprint Car hold the King of Wisconsin at bay for his 1st IRA Feature win of the season and 2nd consecutive win by a ‘ringer’ at Wilmot over the IRA crew as Biertzer was well assured of Hard Charger.

Next show is Saturday up at Antigo for the Summer Sizzler.
