Cool to see Kasey give Jason Meyers the 49 ride for the World Finals.  This a test/interview for 2014?

Isn't the 49 Darrah's car? I might be confused, I get them all jumbled up at the end of the year.

Darrah is in the 4. Brad Sweet drives the 49 Ollies Outlet.

I would assume seens he is running it at the World Finals that this will also come with some sort of an announcement partaining to next year.

Why would we be speculating about him going back on the road full time? He "retired" to be closer to his wife and kids, right?

i never heard jason say he "retired". he said he was pulling back on his schedule and would not be running full time. looks like he has been doing just that so far.

i guess it will also be up to him if he feels he wants to change his mind at some point.

He has done that - so far. You can't be closer to your kids (stated reason for WHATEVER you want to call what he is doing) AND be on the road full time. I say if he "changes his mind" it proves his original "reason" is what I have always maintained it was which is bullshit.

it says a one off, however I read also that he hinted at knoxville he was looking at a deal that could put him back in the seat full time........

Im just saying that if Kasey Kahne offered anyone a Ride, they would be dumb to turn it down. Im not saying that is what is going to happen, but I can have my own opinion. Seems kinda odd to me that he will have Jason Meyers in the Car, when there are a ton of other options that do not have to come across the Country. My personal opinion is that Brad will go full time Nationwide and focus on that, and Meyers will run the 49 on the Outlaw Tour. Also lets be honest, Jason may have wanted to spend the last couple of years with his Family, but everyone knows he wants to Race, and I think the Team Member that was caught doing illegal things had a lot to do with him hanging it up in the first place. I have heard that from a few different sources.

no clue what it means beyond the world finnals, but imo good stratagy on KKR putting a proven winner there which can possably take points (positions) away from Schatz thus maybe keeping the WoO championship in Pittmans corner, May the best man win!

the beginning of the year that jason won the first woo tile i was told he was wanting to cut back on his racing and that the coming season might be the last year he ran the full woo deal.

then jason won the woo and i was told he was going to most likely go ahead and run the following year as defending champ and then cut back.

so i was informed he was wanting to cut back two full seasons before he did. sounds to me like he had been planning that for some time.

Well its cause Jason and Kasey are goin to come on here the monday after the world finals and see if he should or shouldnt go back on the road by the kinds of comments that are left. Then and only then will Jason decide if he should stay retired or come back out on the road.

I don't aim to please.
I aim to hit the target.
