what brand /type valve spring compressor have you had success with? I am just repairing one cylinder that needs attention, so thus I am trying to keep from a teardown of the heads/inj roller, 700-750 lift springs , I have a cheezy compressor that worked for stock stuff , but don't even want to try this p.o.s. on this repair, it struggled with a hydrolic camed 327 years and years ago. any help, thanks..

geez, I have a speedway catalog next to me pretty much 24/7 , why I never looked there is questionable, anyway, looks like when it comes to valve spring compressors you get what you pay for, I like the idea of having both hands to set the locks in place, thanks for the info..

"QUICKSQEEZE" product review.... Im a skilled tradesman (electrician) and a mild racer, (hobbiest) my mechanical inclination is high, Ive been into cars since I could argue Ford vs Chevy.., im certainly not a professional, but, I have turned a wrench or two in my time, I routinely perform Valve Lash/spring tension ect (run valves) nightly after a nights competition, I check and recheck my filter, I cut it open and check for fragments ect, I have one motor and try to take care of it, I perform All the setup and matiniance to my 410 winged sprint, I had a troubled cylinder running funney, the mag was switched, plugs, plugwires, a bent pushrod was found earlier on the same cylinder (Int )side #5, I removed the rocker shaft assembly and bolted in place the framework of the "quicksqueeze" tool , then tightening of the feet ancors lightly, then pressureizing the cylinder was next on the ajenda. a light tap to the retainer, tool, and spring was in order to loosen the locs, I quickly compressed the spring while watching the top of the valve not to move, the locs were removed and the spring released to static height and removed from the head, both hands were free during the loc removal which made the process extremely helpful. I replaced the spring with a new fresh one and reversed the order of events, the only hiccup I found was centering the retainer over the locs, this was NOT the tools dissfunction, it only took a little patience and recompressing the spring lightly to set itself into the taper of the locs. (no biggy) , a light tap to secure the seat of the locs after the tools compression foot was removed was performed, I completed both INT and EXH valves in just over one half hour, the cylinder was done!

removal of tool was not nessessary to direct attention to another spring of the same cylinder, the bolt spacing of the tool was perfect for my -12 410 with Jessel rocker assembly, this tool will fit other various heads and T&D rocker stands to my understanding, The tool can be purchased thro BR motorsports and is a supirior tool to have in my testimony.. it sure helps to have the right tool for the job.. thanks to all on here for their help! now, to see how she runs!
