Can he get back into a J&J? Geez, don't like that Eagle. Maybe Davey needs to come back? Has not shown anything yet this season. It's only been a few nights but man they don't seem anywhere near where their standards are.

He didn't do anything tonight at Elko...but neither did Johnson or Balog.

my question is. if a driver is semi consistant in X brand chassis, why would they change to something else?, Mark struggled a bit to get a grip on the JnJ vs the Schnee a few years back, guess its something to do with something new,? , I just don't know,? some racers simply phsyc themselves out with new territory. digging too deep to find something to blame, 50% of racing takes good luck.

This string makes me think of a question I've been debating with myself for years. What % of a teams success can be attributed to car/engine vs crew chief vs driver. I'm sure there's no canned answer, but just something I've thought about. Some guys look like crap with a particular car and or crew chief, then turn around and look like world beaters in a totally different situation. Success can't always just be about the driver....or can it?

Probably the most dramatic example I have ever seen of how much a difference a chassis can make is when Brad Furr switched from Jenkins to whatever he switched to at the time (it has been awhile). His dad was an investor in Jenkins Chassis (often referred to as "Junkins" ) but wen the decision was made to make the change Brad whent from shit to shinola overnight. We finally saw what he was truly capable of behind the wheel of a sprintcar.

Not to take anything from Dobmeier, but that win wasn't convincing of anything other than he started on the front row of a rubber down race track and managed to keep it straight.
There was very little passing anywhere.
Front row finished 1-2 and the second row finished 3-4.

Nice day to post about a "Junkins" chassis. My dad, Ken Jenkins, passed away on May 11, 2013. Thanks.

Boy, Donny Schatz has really had a hard time winning races in a J and J.
