After an amazing weekend of racing at Williams Grove and Lincoln; the next stop is Michigan. Ideally, a return to Attica on Friday or a maiden voyage to Fremont would be nice. But, late flight on Friday and a late Nationwide race on Saturday will likely scrap those plans.
So, what about Butler Speedway? What can you tell me about it? Their schedule says 410 sprints this week and it's not too far from Michigan International Speedway.
Your thoughts on Butler?

I go there when I can. Raced there for a while. Nice track, good people. Sprints put on a good show, other classes are fun to watch. Food is good and reasonable. At one time, show dragged out. I don't think it's like that anymore, I hear they move the show along now.
All in all, I give it two thumbs up and would recommend you go and have a good time! You won't be diappointed!

They race 410's weekly but and ASCS 360 (Jared Horstman) has won three shows there so far this year. The competion and equipment isn't close to an Attica or Fremont but if you are just looking for catching a sprint show I would recommend it.

This weekends show at Butler is a big mod show and children's night with bike give aways. Might be a rather LONG evening since usually the show isn't over before 12:30 or later. Might want to check the track's web site to check if the 410's are running with the mods or if it is just the street stocks which put on a long let's wreck each other race each weekend. Other tracks in that area of Michigan are Spartan speedway in Holt that race Fri nights and Springport speedway which race Sat nights, both are paved tracks. We're dirt fans and will probably sit out the Butler race along with a full grandstand.

Or, you have a nice mini sprint track in Jackson that runs Saturday night. jacksonspeedway.net. Butler is not a bad place, usually good racing. Just usually a very long night. The mods and other classes tend to have alot of cautions. That is the biggest reason I do not go often.

SOD will be at Plymouth Speedway in Indiana sat night (winged 360's)....Tony Stewart is also racing in that race. Little further than Butler, but might be worth it...

According to the Butler website, they are running Sprints & Street Stocks only with the UMP Mods so I'm thinking it won't be a horribly late night like it tends to be when they run 5 divisions.
