Early Registration Forms Encouraged for Elk City Speedway!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma - January 16, 2012 - Track officials have asked for drivers who intend on competing at Elk City Speedway in Elk City, Oklahoma during the 2012 race season to fill out your driver's registration forms now instead of waiting until practice or race day.
Local business owners Kenneth and Calvin Bonner are the new promoters for the facility for the 2012 race season and have already made improvements to the track, the pit area and more in preparation for a successful season. It all gets underway on Saturday, April 14th with a car show at noon followed by play day and registration at the track beginning at 3:00 pm.
Thus far seventeen drivers have turned in their registration forms, which can be found by clicking the "registration form" link on the tracks new website http://www.elkcitydirttrack.com. Five divisions will compete weekly on the three-eighths mile clay oval; modifieds, IMCA type southern sport modifieds, factory stocks, super stocks, bombers and funn stocks.
Officials have been receiving calls on a daily basis inquiring about the upcoming 2012 race season with interest at an all-time high.
