22nd Annual Lawton Winter Nationals This Friday and Saturday Night!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Lawton, Oklahoma – September 26, 2011- Another end to a race season and what has been the case for the past decade continues once again this coming Friday and Saturday night as drivers across Oklahoma and North Texas are gearing up for the 22nd annual Lawton Speedway Winter Nationals in Lawton, Oklahoma.
It all kicks off on Friday night with a complete show of heat races, last chance features and features with the top four in the feature finale for all five divisions locked into Saturday night's championship finale. Those top four drivers will redraw Saturday night to determine who starts where on the first two rows of the championship feature. Friday night's payout will pay weekly purse thus no heat race money.
Then on Championship Saturday Night another set of heat races and last chance features will be run to make up the balance of the feature finale in each division.
The championship sprint and USA modified divisions will be competing for $1000 to win on Saturday night's feature finale while the factory stock and limited modified divisions will be competing for $400 to win. The tracks mini stock division will be competing for $300 to win on Saturday night.
Entry fee for the champ sprints and modifieds is $50 while the entry fee for the limited modifieds, factory stock and mini stock entry fee is $30. Track rules for all divisions apply.
2011 season champions at Lawton Speedway were Shane Sellers (champ sprints), Buddy Honacker (USA modified), Larry Fletcher (limited modified), Steve Clemmons (factory stock) and Mark Wilson (mini stock).

Lawton Speedway is located off of Interstate 44 to Lee Blvd. Go west on Lee to Sheridan Road then turn south and go 1 1/2 mile. If you are coming from South of Lawton exit Highway 36 at the Faxon exit, go North on Sheridan Road approx 5 miles.
