Heck if you noticed, I think he disappointed the thinking of some people. I bet people thought "welp, here comes more NCRA shows." C Ray wants to get the regular Enid drivers race time and if all goes well he might schedule one (NCRA) during the winter nationals.
As far as sprints, I would like to see him schedule one night of the winter nationals with the NCRA sprints or OCRS.
Trust me, I will put a bug in his ear about it.

Sorry David but,
Heck if you haven't noticed, I think Mr. Hall was disappointed by the thinking of some people. I would guess most were thinking, here we go, it's going to be an all NCRA rules program and all of us Enid Speedway regulars are still left out in the pasture when in fact C. Ray Hall wants to get all of the regulars at Enid Speedway track time and be able to race.
NCRA rules may come into play for certain classes during the Enid Speedway Winter Nationals, and Sprint Cars could be added. (depending on schedules) We all know this late in the season most all Tracks and Racers have already set their schedule.
You have to give Mr. Hall credit for stepping up this late in the racing season to give Enid Speedway hope of survival with the hopes of obtaining a new two year contract with the Garfield County Fair-board for the 2012 and 2013 Racing season.
Now....here are my thoughts on the issue;
(1) The Enid City Council should address the limited (2) two year contract for the Grandstands facility and grounds as imposed by the Fair-board. By giving a Promoter a minimum 5 year contract it will ensure he/she is a faithful tennant and will uphold the facility. Year to year leases, or short term leases are sure to fail strictly due to the politics of the terms.
(2) The Fair-board should relinquish their hold on Concessions during non-Fair weekly events. (Special events excluded) ie; Fair, Arts and Crafts Shows, Car Shows, Home and Garden Shows, etc. that are held annually.
(3) The facility has been basicly sitting dormant for the most part and without occupancy. Tax dollars are being spent to keep this white elephant when infact it could be a viable source of income for the Fair-board, the County, and the City of Enid through Gas and Retail purchases. These facts are real and have a big impact on local Restuarants, businesses, and the economy in Enid and Garfield County.
