Jackson possibles?

1 Sammy Swindell, 1s Kevin Swindell, 33 Danny Lasoski, 55 Terry McCarl, 17a Austin McCarl, 21 Brian Brown, 23w Scott Winters, 91 Dusty Zomer, 38 Wayne Johnson, 71r Ryan Anderson, 69 Mike Moore, 12 Lynton Jeffrey, 56 Davey Heskin, 56c Johnn Cressman, 81 Austin Johnson, 45X Johnny Herrera, 1 Bronson Maeschen, 92 Kerry Madsen, 14 Jody Rosenboom, 11X Gregg Bakker, 33 Robby Wolfgang, 59 Brooke Tatnell, 2L Logan Forler plus many more hopefully....not sure if any WoO guys will show up but you would think for 12,000 and racing nearby the following 2 nights it could be interesting. Would think maybe Dollansky, Schatz?? Not sure..Also not sure if the ASCS National tour is racing, but what about Shane Stewart, Billy Alley, Jack Dover??

Anyways, Hoping for at least 30 410's and a great show. Weather looks good for the weekend as long as this predicted rainfall gets outta here!

Feel free to add or remove drivers if you know who's heading to the big half mile..

16 Travis Whitney will be there.

Dollansky was given permission by the WoO. But it's not like the outlaw guys are completely unable to run this event, they can do whatever they want but would have to take the penalty.

1st of I am a huge Dollansky fan, but I am confused, if I was any of the other 13 drivers I would be PISSED OFF!.

If you were the WoO, and tracks and promotors paid you a sanction fee of $10k, $50k, $100k, etc so that your drivers (Saldana, Schatz, Meyers, Kinser, etc -- or in your case, Josh Richards, Scott Bloomquist, Jimmy Mars, Donnie Moran, etc) showed up to put on a show for the fans -- would you be happy if another track & promotor were not willing to pay that sanction fee to sanction a show, yet still got to reap the benefits of having those same drivers show up at their non-sanctioned event??

Sprint cars used to have non-sanctioned big money events that drew drivers from all series - they were called the Kings Royal and Knoxville Nationals. It's very arguable that both events were better sans sanctioning body. Good for late models that the World 100 and other big $$ non-sanctioned events are still going strong without big brother to swoop in and screw it up.

If you can't tell, I don't always agree with the WoO........ but at least see where they are coming from with this rule.

PS -- in response to another post -- the drivers did band together to fight this 5 yrs ago - it was called the NST. Probably would still be around if Fred Brownfield was still here (RIP).

I hear what you're saying but it still doesn't make much sense, especially since the WOO LM & SS are both owned by the same corporation under the same banner.

Why have this specific rule for your sprint series and not your late model series? I'm damn glad they don't have it on the LM side.

Than again there's so many more talented late model drivers, and I don't mean more talented than the SS, I mean there's more drivers on the late model side in general.

Hey Chilli,,,, you are right on the money as to why the WoO would not be happy,, the only problem is that Jon has been trying and is more than willing to pay the sanction fees,,, for some reason they can't get a consistent date,, SLS has gotten the last couple of dates that they had there...

It's a catch-22 as far as sanctioning bodies,,, I agree the big money shows, K-ville Nats, Kings Royal, Western World were all better unsanctioned,,, bring the best together and let em run,,, but the sanction has also helped by getting more shows and bigger pay offs from the level B race tracks out there helping the drivers and owners out.....

I suspected that was the case with the WoO, Jon, and SLS.... just trying to throw some logic at a late model fan -- if that's possible! Smile Speaking of catch 22's, it's funny that SLS was mentioned earlier. That horse is 6-feet under from multiple prior threads, so not going to kick it too hard. It was great to see them bring the WoO to 34 Raceway, US-36, Jackson, etc -- but something broke down between the promotors of those tracks, SLS, and the WoO -- and now there is no WoO show at any of them. Putting aside differences ($$, power... both!?) to give us fans a great show at a great track apparently is too much to ask for!

Come on, give us a taste of drivers/owners registered for this event. Otherwise I'm going to Huset's to the WoO race so I can watch the 11, 15, 14, 9, 7S, 83, 5W, 63, 91 etc........I'm sure they'll be there. You (Jon) posted 360 drivers committed to University of Okoboji night and this race is much bigger. We know the WoO looks out for their own, sans a few exceptions, the ticket/pitpass price is more, Knoxville Regulars don't travel much (cept for the few full-time professional drivers: Lasoski, Brown, McCarl's), prolly only 35 total cars with 10 of them being local area 360's just hoping to make the "A" featch and start and park (I can't blame them). And watching 10-11 305's. I just hope they hire Justin Zoch to announce (since the Twins will be on the road still). The purse is awesome, the giveaways are nice (although I still have my Big Game seat cushion and coozies from last years K-Ville Nat's), just hope there's a great turnout of cars and the fans support it. If only the WoO would let all their drivers race on a night off......I thought that 's what Outlaws did!!!

thanks

I dont need a drivers list, Im going.

Im also going to the WoO at Husets on Sunday night.

Both will be good shows, irregardless of who shows up.

Anyone within 150 that is a 410 sprint fan, should be at Jackson on Friday night!

WoO drivers can request a release to race this race. Obviously, since its a Big Game sponsored event, the #7 asked for and recieved the release, hopefully without docking the points.

Solidarity by all of the WoO contract teams would be nice in this situation, where they have the ability to race for more money than a regular WoO show, and only have to travel 200 miles to race.

This will be one helluva show even without the committed WOO drivers, actually it will probably be better if the big guns don't show up, the upper midwest has some pretty good drivers that will put on a great sgow. I am guessing 35-45 410 sprints for this show.

Logic at a late model fan? C'mon that's laughable.

Firstoff, I follow big money events on dirt period. LO, WOO LM/SS, MLRA, CBC, WISSOTA, USMTS, ASCS, etc.. I've seen just as many big sprint shows as I have late model shows. I know this is a sprint board but people on both sides who waste their time comparing the two like music are in my opinion missing out.

The one thing that any dirt race fan hates is a follow the leader A feature, and one can not argue that it happens much more in a sprint feature than it ever does at a late model event, also another thing that any fan who follows dirt racing hopes for at a special is somebody coming from the back to win the A, again that happens much more in late model racing. So if you're one of these sprint only lovers, who bashes fenders just because, you're missing out bigtime. To each their own.

Steve Kinser & Scott Bloomquist will never be matched on dirt, enjoy them while you can.
