Thanks...
Great web site.
Be sure and go to "home" and check out the video of the USAC race at Kokomo. This is what racing is all about. I hope y'all up there appreciate what you have. Does anyone know if and how you can copy that 6 minutes to disc??? or even to your computer? Okay - not yours - mine - but you can too - but only if you share the info.... :-))

If you look around on the freeware sites there are YouTube capture programs and video format converters that you can download. My favorite site for finding free and open source programs is http://www.nonags.com/ It might take a little patience and experimentation to find what you're looking for but I have always been able to find what I need for these one time projects.
There are commercial alternatives that you can purchase. Obviously it's more efficient to just spend the money and purchase programs to do these projects if you have the means to do so.
P.S. You can create a DVD with Windows Movie Maker which is a standard program bundled with Windows. The titles, transitions, etc., aren't very fancy but it does the job.

Thanks Stan...
Looks like I've got a lot of learning to do. I really appreciate the help. I'm doing a little better - I now have a better than dial up connection. WOW. And at the motel at the STN I had a 5 bar connection (whatever that means). That was impressive. Gotta keep learning.
I have a straight though connection to the Kokomo video. That was one great race.
