150 people in stands. Hot lapping now, track rolling in dust. Three cars has already left during hot laps. Only 35 cars left in pits

the reason there were no cars come to enid to the big race is because they built this class to be the same everywhere and to save the drivers money and then this dumb ass promoter changes the tire rule and a bunch of dumb ass promoters like him have changed the tire rule, i've been racing for 30 years. me and my family have won many championships and many races , this is the first time i have ever seen a class that the poor man could afford and then we have promoters like this that change the rules, and give the whole state of oklahoma a bad rep. This promoter didn't even have a banquet for his 2009 top 10 class winners, and he wonders why there is no car count at his track. I've read so much bad stuff about this promoter, why doesn't enid get rid of him.

I totally agree these tracks need to be IMCA sanctioned not copying their rules and throwing in a twist thats why you see oklahoma drivers only and no drivers from surrounding states . Every track in texas, louisiana arkansas that i ever went to was IMCA sanctioned not copying their rules, quit being greedy and get your shit together people it cant be that expensive put IMCA trained techs that actually do their job I was in the top 5 alot and never got teched in oklahoma I mean not once I got weighed at lawton thats IT and had one tech ASK me if i had a mini clutch I said no but some people dont tell the truth.

It's too late for a pre-season special. Too many tracks starting up and the racers want to get a good start on their local track points. Adhering to national rules is real important too.

They should have known by the pre-entries and the weather man that it was D.O.A.

Can't ride a dead horse to town and you can not bet against the weather. At least that's what the professor told us back in promoter's college. The weekend weather has not been good to racing this year so far.

Not to mention the other 23 problems these days with Enid. They keep trying so give them the Kudos for that. This bidness ain't easy.

86J-Johnson, 9- Hebert, the 88 got dq'ed for vacume (ran third I believe), not sure about fourth but the 174 was running up there so maybe him, and 09- Elliot ran fifth. The others in the top ten but I'm not sure of the order were the 07- Sessions, 21, and I ran tenth. That's the best I can remember. Quite a few torn up cars. Ross McCartney ramped the 10 car I believe and rolled his car on the front stretch. The other 85 car hit the back strait wall and tore his rearend out from under the car and just a bunch of crashed cars. The 42L ran me over coming out of turn two on the first lap. I think 12 cars finished or something like that.

Large field expected for limited modified event

ENID — There will be ground-pounding thunder as Enid Speedway Park kicks off its season with the inaugural $10,000 to win Limited Modified Nationals.

The tripleheader is expected to draw top drivers from across the nation to compete for a chance at the big money payday. According to track promoter Lonnie Colville, the $10,000 purse is one of the richest limited modified purses in the nation.

“I went to a similar race in Texas a few weeks ago that only paid $2,000 to win and they drew 120 cars,” said Colville. “We’ve already had more pre-entries and phone calls than we ever get for our street stock nationals. I am really optimistic that this is going to be a great show.”

The limited modified division is one of the fastest growing classes in the nation. Last season, the Garfield County Fairgrounds track drew in 20 to 30 cars a week for its regular point cards. This affordable division is popular from coast-to-coast. It is not inconceivable there could be more than 200 cars show up for the event.

Race fans will get a chance to check out the field as drivers converge on the track Thursday night for a test-and-tune practice session, followed by a free cookout. Admission will be free to the grandstands.

The first green flag of the season will fly at 7 p.m. Friday for qualifying heat and feature races. The “A” feature will qualify five drivers for the pole and the inside five rows of Sunday’s main event.

Saturday night action includes an identical card, qualifying five drivers for the outside five positions in the coveted big-money race. Pit gates will open at 3 p.m. both Friday and Saturday.

Racing action will heat up Sunday afternoon as drivers battle for the final starting spots in last chance races and features.

The event will culminate in what promises to be an action-packed 50-lap main event as some of the fastest hot shoes in the country pull out all the stops to walk away with $10,000. Twenty drivers will qualify for the big race along with two lucky provisionals. LOL!
