Just checked the NCRA page for the points standings. How come Todd Decker is not the points leader? He won his heat and the Feature. Seems like the points system is a little screwy.

I'm relatively sure NCRA is just giving points to those who have paid dues or memberships (whatever they call it).

Really I think anyone who races any point race should be acknowledged in the points, but without paying for NCRA's affiliation should not get any point fund money or contingencies.

But then again - it's just a different way of doing it than what many other series do. And maybe it's better. maybe its more incentive for drivers to pay dues for NCRA. Pretty sure either Chris or David Smith would make extremely valid, and true, points for why they do it this way.

Either way, I like what they do with this series. I haven't been to any of their races - more of a open wheel fan myself, but getting a collection of drivers from literally most of the areas dirt tracks and from all over the state the way they do - it's really like something of a Mod/Sport Mod all star race. Sure there might be a couple missing here and there. But if you look at points standings for many of the statewide modified classes - at least a few from the upper tier of each track go and run these shows. It's a really excellent idea and those involved with NCRA and these divisions have really pulled it off extremely well. Not to mention, really great for area tracks to support it. It just seems like a great win/win for everyone.

Justin Buntin received the 25 points for running the B which gave him the points lead.

That is the reason why we are not running NCRA for points. I like Chris but his point system stinks. We will run some NCRA races

Giving "B" feature points has been happening with NCRA for 40 years now. There was a change in the point structure in 2009 to make points chasing better. Drivers questions this last year with the modified division and those who had questions called Chris Smith or the NCRA office in Wichita, Kansas to ask the question, discusss their concern or whatever the case may be. They then got their answer.

That hour and a half intermission was for the track. The powers to be could have left it alone and kept racing. If that would have been the case then you might not have seen the racing in the features that you did. Did you know I heard they reworked the track down in Kilgore this past Friday night for the WoO sprint show? I am sure it took more than thirty minutes for that big half mile.

Mike, that is why your racing in Texas because nothing at tracks in the state of Oklahoma is ever good enough for you. Then when it comes to NCRA you always have a gripe or comment after every NCRA show that has to do with a Oklahoma division. For whatever reason you have a beef with NCRA and that is cool and fine, there are others who do as well. But they don't try starting stuff on a message board. They either mind their own business or pick up the phone and call myself, Chris or the NCRA office. You ought to try one of the above sometime.

Chris and myself bust our butts on these two divisions because we do care about the drivers and the sport. Do we make mistakes? Hell yes we do and we admit it, just as I would hope drivers who make mistakes out on the race track would admit it also. But we want to see this baby grow and make it to where drivers want to have fun, travel to different race tracks and maybe earn alittle bit.

That is just my opinnion and does not reflect anything to do with this message board. It is not right for me to have this message board and defend a series I help I know and yes it is wrong. But I would just like to get some concerns answered and get some stuff off of my chest, just as others who post here do.

I have talked to Chris several times about the point structure and about allowing different rules for different races. Youre right I don't like it so I race where I choose to. I am not trying to start anything but how in the hell can you win your heat and the feature and not be the points leader? Do the World of Outlaws do this-No. Do the All Stars do this-No. I'll tell you just like I told Chris grow a set and go talk to C. Ray. And something else David don't worry I will not post anything else on your precious site

It is not my precious site it is everybodys precious site that is why I seldom delete posts and why I have never banned a user. You posted your comment so I posted my comment, plain and simple.

NCRA is not my series and I am not a full-time employee. I do the NCRA deal on my own time and because I like doing it and enjoy each and every driver who competes at the races with us. NCRA is C Ray Halls deal and he has been doing this for along, long time so who am I to be judging what he does and doesn't do. As mentioned, giving "B" feature points has been going on for years and is nothing new, only to this area because we are finally in this market. NCRA is not the WoO and is not the All-Stars so why even compare?

One final note, the point structure is in effect for all five divisions of NCRA: modified south, southern modifieds, modified north, late models and sprint cars and has been for years. To my knowledge there have been no complaints from those drivers and if so they sure don't make an issue of it on message boards.

This is the first time I have posted anything about the NCRA point structure and I am not the one that brought it up and wasn't even talking to you. It was a comment but you took it to heart. You are right this is C. Ray's deal and Chris's but I don't have to run it or like it

I got screwed in Cowtown by making Saturdays A, by getting in Friday in the qualifier. I got 7th place heat race points and then my A feature points without getting anything from a B that I would have been in had it been a regular show. I asked Chris about it and he basically told me that they were trying to make the majority happy and I wasn't in the majority. It is what it is, it still beats racing under Lanny's thumb. We've all got opinions and for the most part aren't trying to start anything with them.

If they are gonna give B feature points then it should be for NON transfer cars only. I think Tod's gettin kicked in the pants on that deal. He did everything he should have done to be leading the points and isn't. Kinda crappy to me.

I like decker and buntin , the way I see it is the b points r like a reward for having to go through the b then work your way to a respectable finishing position . It's easy to start up front and stay there but you got somethin if you come from mid pack or somethin . The guys that don't like it should just run the b every race I've seen championships won that way if you play your cards right .
winners dont cry when they lose , they go back to the
drawing board and come back for round 2 !

Wow! Somebody finally understands. Thanks mr jorski. Maybe some of these people will start looking at the big picture instead of what is happening that very second. Ncra has always given b points for 40 years, nothing has changed. I'm not saying it right or wrong, but that is the way it is. I have told everyone that you can call myself or cray at any time and discuss your concerns with us, but it seems that it's alot easier for some of you to complain here instead of picking up the phone. We started this series to try and help racing in this area, but after looking at all the negetive post on here it not possibe to make some of you happy. Maybe this series is not what okla needs?

Chris you know me and we have talked about this before. You should give B Feature points. But a guy does the best he can do and doesn't have the point lead????? Now instead of listening you are threatening this series. You have several drivers not liking the point system but Davey jumps on me. Why is this Chris You know my number and you can call me

Mike, I read your post, you made very clear what you think. When i put this post out I was not even thinking about you. My post was for the drivers who was running the series and was unhappy It seems like everytime somebody dislikes something they think they have to post it on here. It sure would be nice to see a little bit More positive talk on here. Oh by the way mike, that phone number thing works both ways. Every one have a great day!!!!!!!!!

Chris whats wrong with posting it on here. This is a forum. Its true there is more dislikes posted on here than likes. But I did post I like you just not the NCRA point system. So I did say something positive. You used to call me all the time but when I disagreed with you about the point system you quit calling. So your saying either agree with me or the hell with you Chris have you ever went into your favorite eatery and recieved that perfect meal? Did you call them and tell them how good it was? But if that meal would have been terrible you would have called an complained. Kinda like any forum you hear about the terrible meal but not the good meal
