Don't know if this helps anyone, but if your coming across on hwy. 34 to Knoxville or Osky it seems like the biggest speed trap in history. I counted 10 officiers just from Fairfield down to Burlington.
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up!

There are 4 state patrol officers that live in Albia area, so watch your speed if you come from Ottumwa to Albia then to Knoxville. They are ticket writing fools.

They're prolly looking to get their whole month's quota and bonus on top during Knoxville speedweeks.

Osky's got a couple of new rookies that have a nasty habit of finding things wrong that aren't really so be careful in town here. I'm sure they will be messing with you outta towners worse than they do us and I've been pulled over for bs 3 times in the last two months....

Be sure to carry your proof of insurance with you too. It isn't enough to HAVE the insurance any more....if you don't have proof with you while you are driving it will cost you $75.
The Iowa State Patrol really needs to remove the "to serve and protect" motto from their vehicles and replace it with "trying to raise more money for the state budget than taxation"

Here's a novel solution. Don't do anything wrong and you probably won't be stopped.

Nice theory Jah but unfortunately not very practical. Last time the Iowa State Patrol got me it was because of a side marker light. The officer explained at the time that "if it is OEM it had to be lighted" I asked how my salvage title and aftermarket body parts affected that law and he dropped the subject but still gave me the $75 ticket for not having the updated insurance card with me. (I had one that expired 2 days earlier, just never put the new one in my wallet yet. I had the reciept saying I paid that insurance company recently)
I am still convinced he didn't want to pursue the side marker ticket so he could get back to stopping other motorists (with more expensive fines) quicker.

The cops on nights in Albia will also pull you over for some hair brain excusses also. Just beware if you come through Abila at night.
