I'll tell you who was No. 11 on the list: Cactus Jack and J.J. Yeley. It was basically a toss up between them and Bubby/Tony Jones. Parnelli, P.J. and Page Jones were also high on the list who didn't make it in.

The name "Vukovich" comes to mind. But then, so does the name "Bettenhausen."

Thanks Tripcrwn but I just now realized that I forgot someone.Pancho's late brother Dana who passed away in his sleep after racing in a midget that night .I remember going to his funeral in Westminster,Calif.back in the early 80's.

With respect to the Vukovich family, you need to start with grandpa Bill, son Billy, and grandson Bill.
How about Johnny Parsons and Johnny Parsons, Jr., and Don Vogler and Rich Vogler
Also Gordon and Don Hamilton of the San Diego area. Gordon drove modified sportsmen for years and started Don in the sport at an early age. Don eventually went to sprint cars and drove for Alex Morales when they had the four-cam Ford engine in the Tamale Wagon. I believe he was the CRA champion one year
