I see a lot of places sell buzz boxes to static time a magneto. My question is, can I use a beeping multimeter to the same thing? It seems like the buzz box is just telling you exactly when the points crack open. How are the boxes connected on an internal coil mag?

Thanks!

I dont know about a multimeter? I don't see any reason why it wouldnt work . on my vertex I connect one lead to the mag wire and the other i just clip on to the top ring of the mag where the cap sits , seems to work fine..
