RB Rudi Johnson was released last week from the Cincy Bengals - and Detroit signed him to be their back up/split carries with Kevin Smith...........this left former OSU tailback Tatum Bell the odd man out with no job ------ instead of accepting it with maturity and beg. to work on getting on another team.............while Rudi Johnson was in a meeting with coaches --------- Tatum Bell's dumbass steals his luggage.

and this aint a he said/he said type of thing. Johnson had 2 Gucci bags - with money, credit cards, designer clothes ------ everything a former pro bowl back would take with him on his first trip to his new home. anyhoot ------- after instant replay (reviewing the security video tapes) ------- the footage conclusively showed none other than Tatum Bell walkin away the loot (luggage). Bell says it was a misunderstanding - and returned the bags to Johnson - minus all the belongings.

what a dumbass. there was already a very slim chance he would get on with another team - i mean - he kind of does suck - and anywhere he would go he would be the #3 back - maybe 2 at best on a few bottom feeders with no run game. who the hell would touch him now? his reputation is GONE - and he wasnt really that good anyway. he'll be lucky if he doesnt get charged. video showing you walkin away with the bags - and then returning them empty ---- would be an open and shit case........almost quicker than he opended johnson's case to jack him lol......

so say goodbye to tatum bell. another OSU gone pro sob story. what is the deal with all the offensive players from OSU goin to the pro's - and then tankin it? Morency, Bell, Woods, and there are prob others i am leaving out (or maybe those were the only 3). but thats just a dig at osu from an ou fan. the point is ------- you could stick a fork in tatum bell -------------because he is done. prob be stealing rims in his hometown by years end.............lol. thief.

Glass houses, glass houses

Though I have to say it was a pretty dumb move if it was on purpose.

This is from espn.com .

Bell, however, claimed the situation was a misunderstanding. Bell told the Free Press that defensive end Victor DeGrate, whom the Lions released Saturday, had asked Bell to pick up his bags for him. Bell picked up the bags, not realizing they weren't DeGrate's.

"I wasn't thinking or nothing," Bell told the newspaper. "I just grabbed the backpack and grabbed the other bag. They weren't in nobody's locker or nothing like that. They were just sitting there by the computer area right there. I grabbed them and put them in the car.

"They said they got me on film taking the bags. I said, 'If you look on film, I wasn't in no hurry or nothing.' I was just going about my day," he said.

Well no matter how you look at this it wasn't very smart!!!!!

My reply is to the OU fan at the top of the thread, are you kidding me? You have some nerve! How many OU athletes have committed crimes and went to prison?

I'm not disaggreeing with what you had to say about tatum bell but about O.S.U.

O.U. has had many more problems and for a lot worse, (AKA the Barry Switzer era),

Heck, one of the star female basketball players(from OU) just got kicked off the team for being a thief. I'm not one to make judgement calls on anyone, it is what it is, but for anyone from OU to slam another University is just crazy, from my vantage point!!!

I'm sure that what is supposed to happen will happen!!

This isn't to start a grudge war or anything, I truly respect everyones opinion!!!

Actually - EVERY University has problems with their athletes and non-athletes. It not just an OU or OSU thing!

aw kerrie c'mon now...............dont ruin my fun! lol.

aside from the dig at osu ------ man thats really stupid and childish what Bell did - guess he forgot about the cameras. since i've hit stride of my fantasy football drafts - 7 down - 5 more to go. i was thinkin maybe Houston Texans might make a move for him - because ahman green is injury prone bad, backup chris brown is on IR, which leaves untested rookie Steve Slaton - who i like but not enough to pick up as a 3rd or even 4th back. i thought maybe bell could have excelled in houston.............but with such a dumb and childish move ------ i think he could very well be done for at the pro level - although you never know - injuries could end up handing him a job yet.

just read that rudi johnson isnt going to involve the police. lol. its just funny that he did it with so little regard. he said he was confused or soemthing -- and that on the tape you can tell because he calmly strolled in and out. lol that dont prove anything - by all rights - what you gonna do take off runnin like its a cool million? lol. man - bell really showed him. got him for the bags - then got caught - not all he got is rudi's undies lol. man thats funny.

o yeah - man i was just POKE-ing fun is all.

for bonehead its hard to beat some of OU's all stars of the dumbass squad lol. Brandon Everage. one of the best free safety's in the country - and he got in toruble - what - 3 or 4 times? of course the Bomar deal was pretty bad.

although - what pissed me off about the NCAA is they cited OU for having a lack of institutional control for a couple players misbehaving - the type of stuff no coach or parent can really do anything about and was handled internally - now the Bomar and Quinn deal was bad because it involved boosters. but how many other teams are doing the same thing 10x worse? i know that doesnt count because it is speculation - and i do think taking awau scholarships was appropriate for the infraction - but lack of control.

just as an avid college football fan ----- i'll give you an example of lack of institutional control

U S C.

the deal with Reggie Bush was bad - and is still all but ignored by the NCAA - it was way worse than the Bomar deal. Bomar's deal was kind of money in the pocket every month. you had million flying around in the Bush saga. isolated incident - i dont think so -------- how bout ------- OJ Mayo? his deal was almost identical to Bush. and yet the NCAA still not taking really any action whatsoever. Bomar's deal was gettin paid monthly pocket money for work not done - not right at all. but Mayo and Bush's deal was AGENTS AGENTS AGENTS. and in both situations - USC personnel have admitted to KNOWING what was going on - with the new million dollar houses being bought - the big SUV on spinners that mayo was posing in magazines with that was given to him by sports agency. these agents were actually present at these guys practices - talking with coaches bout god knows what - which is probably common but as i read it - it was in ways that are supposedly against the rules. with both there are even paper trails that prove the accusers representing the agencies associated with both players - very correct. and both agencies got screwed. Lloyd Lake really got screwed - although he had it coming. he was a bullshitter that got bullshitted. sorry for the profanity - but could not think of another way to explain it lol.

and still the NCAA does nothing. sorry to ramble on - and no i'm just takin very lighthearted digs at osu. it really is meant as humor. tatum bell hasnt been at osu for awhile. this is meant as humor only to get some friendly jabbin goin. i'm certainly not meaning to be taken as seriously saying osu has a problem with anything related to this lol. just a joke man - just a joke. every team everywhere has their boneheads. not just college - and not just football. as to my 1st post - whatever did happen to Rashan Woods? havent even heard of him since he was drafted - did he get cut soon thereafter?

OKCFAN12,

You are so right, for the life of me, I don't understand how USC hasn't been given the death penalty in football! They have been investigated many times and never even a slap on the wrist!!!

As for Rashaun Woods, I know he "played" a few "injury" plagued seasons with the 49ers, I even remember him being traded but dont remember to whom. He was a huge let down as far as his ability in the NFL.

Here is a question of thought, what would happen to OU or OSU if they were to have a case like Reggie Bush? WOW!!!!

Look at all the talent osu has had over the years,They still suck like a ford motor. They seldom or very rarely, hardly ever beat their cross state rivals OU.Whats up with that?OU may choke at a bowl game, but they do for a bedlam matchup.

AH, football season has arrived and the Bedlam game is not yet in sight and we have the OU/OSU faithful poking jabs at each other. Heck, we even have the OU PR department joining the fracus and using speel check.

With this site getting more hits than it ever has, this could be a very good and entertaining off season for reading.

Its all right OSU still has a better stadium! Smile By the way, Bell didn't return the bags. Degrate's girlfriend or something is said to have returned them.

I chimed in only on the spelling of a player's name. The guy was a two-time academic All-American, who now devotes a fair chunk of his life to charity work, so I figured we could spell his name correctly. I come to this site to talk racing and much prefer it when that is the topic.
