Just putting this out there. What is going on with Danny Dietrich this year? equipment change? mechanic change? money issues? Love him or hate him he used to be very competitive and aggresive. This year just cant seem to get of his own ways or others! example last night at Lincolin.

he'll probably sweep the grove.  that's usually how these things go.  it seems like it's really hard to stay consistent...especially when there's no emphasis on consistency and people only care about how many wins you have.  he'll probably hit on something again soon and run off a bunch of wins.

maybe i should start a ryan smith or chad trout post like this.

not to change the subject too much...but where's the concern for tim shaffer?  i thought he was supposed to get into the #72 and dominate now that they have a "capable driver" on that team.  he didn't even get out of the c main last night.  ryan smith drove from around 12th to second in the gettysburg clash to years ago.  i know shaffer has 2 wins down at lincoln...but most of the big names have been going to port this year.  he stayed at lincoln when the all stars were up at port.

Danny D's year did not start of well either. He has not timed in well at too many shows, had too many DNFs as well. Sometimes it's the set up and sometimes it's the nut behind the wheel, often what is overlooked isa "junk" chassis that is too flexy or too rigid and that is a tough one to sort out.

He's not the only one in cnetral PA struggling with multiple issues that has made their 2021 season unimpressive so far.

He sure screwed up a bunch of cars with his late race spin out last nite!

Not in terms of damage, but handed the race to Sweet

I want to watch the replay, happened too fast, I guess Sweet had the best evasive move...

Exactly! Give DD an outlaws assist. Marks worked his butt off and deserved that one. Sweet got lucky. To the subject though, DD has been fast more often than not this year. He will get it going I'm sure. I agree with the concern for Tim Shaffer and the 72 team. Started out the year fast but they've slowed down drastically as of late.

It was interesting that the guys who run mostly at Port were very good at Lincoln last night, and the guys who run Lincoln weekly were off the pace. I know the track was different last night to what they have been used to this season: but it was a drastic performance difference.

72, 5 - that darn elusive mojo...it shows up once in a while, maybe even a season, then disappears........

Watch it again. It happened so fast that Johnny Gibson didn't even catch it right away.
