Pretty sad he is in Knoxville when the WoO are having 2 -$20000 to win shows in Cedar Lake Speedway in Somerset  Wisconsin.  Sad to have all that sponsorship and not race with the big boys.

Sad is keyboard warriors thinking they know what is best for each team, their sponsors, and their finances. He gets to stay home, will probly make more money, and keeps his sponsors in their target area.

You only get better when you race against better competition,  and this is why you probably will never see him win a Knoxville Nationals.

Sometimes when you come off a bad run it's not all bad to return to familiar ground and do well. Helps the checkbook and more importantly helps the mind.

Too small of tracks for Brownie he likes the big half miles. Easy pickings for him at Kville. Thats why he wil never run Outlaws. Couldnt handle the bullrings.

I agree with TBsprintfan. So sad all that big time sponsorship money and stays home. You would never see a  true Outlaw driver stay home with that kind of funding. To be the best you got to run with the best. Just ask Uncle Danny.

Brownie runs his race team like a business and it was the right business decision for him to stay at Knoxville this weekend. His performance with the Outlaws this season hasn't been great out side of Knoxville, so why go to Cedar Lake where the win probability is low and skip Knoxville where he all but secured the track championship and that payout. Plus, 360 field was larger with increase pay out, so got his mid-season 360 test in to prepare for the 360 Nationals.

Hard to criticize someone who in a normal season runs a schedule of Florida Feb swing, spring West Coast Outlaw swing, Midwest all summer and then PA in the fall; hits all the sprint car hot spots and works for his partners.

Your performance with the Outlaws isn't going to improve if you don't race with them and believe me with his sponsorship dollars he has the budget to do so.  Isn't that what these sponsors pay for is to get exposure and the best exposure for those sponsors would of been at Cedar Lake esp. when it was live not only on DirtVision but also on CBS Sports.

Interesting Brian Brown stats...
•Since 2014, has 35 410 wins, 26(74%) of those are at Knoxville
•Last 14 410 wins were all at Knoxville
•Last non-Knoxville win, WoO win at Lakeside (KS) on 10/20/17
