See that Gio is going to run about 25 races in the Midwest for Guy Folbrook and replacement in any of the 71s with PPM going with Deitz and JJR and Gio doing other things  the 71s have been top notch cars the last few years any word on a driver.

Judging by this tweet it appears there was not anyone in mind.

Indy Race Parts/Bernie Stuebgen Retweeted Premier Speedway

I always put my heart/sole into everything I do & with an event that occurred this week w @GioScelzi (yes) we will not be going to Australia. I am always up front & the other was not & it’s just unbearable for me & didn’t think it would be fit. Sorry fans.

I wish them both success in 2020.

WOW.....Can't blame Bernie, sounds like the relationship didn't end well and he was blindsided with Geo's move to Forbrook. Is there more to this story?

I always thought that Bernie's car was somewhat of a renta ride deal?

Yea I would have thought it was a pay to play deal, otherwise why would PPM have been in the ride as long as he was?

PPM deal is just his own cars with Bernie's #71 and colors. Same as when PPM drove that #2 car a couple of years ago. Makes it looks like he is a hired driver but he is really running his own deal bringing funding. Looks like the Dietz #14 is the same deal as you see the big ChalkSticks decal on the wing, a company PPM's family owns. I think they feel people think he is a hired driver someone might give him a ride. Guess at the end of the day it is another car on the track and we need as many of those that we can find.

It takes big money to make the 71 car go... Along with every other competitive 410 car on the race track.

They said at the Chili Bowl that Gio is running ARCA West this year.   Not all that many dates, but one can assume all part of Gary's plan to move Gio up the ladder.

Got to figure with Gary's pockets and connections that we were only going to see Gio as an open wheel regular for a few years.
