Does anyone have any recommendations for Hotels during the 2020 Chili Bowl week? My wife will be with me and it doesn't have to be near the Expo Center. I just don't want to reserve a hotel in a sketchy area.
Areas of town where there are things for us to do during the day would be desirable.

Thanks in advance!

Try Comfort Inn Midtown at Yale & 51st street. !0 mins from the track. Safe area and load of restaurants.

Good Luck

I would recommend staying in the suburbs. I stayed in jenks and Broken Arrow several  times each and as stated are good choices. Aslo stayed in Owasso, Bixbie and Glenpool. All are just 15 to 30 minutes to the track tops. Staying a little farther out puts you in a nicer area and lets us find a restaurant to get a bite on the drive in to the track.

Don't have much for you on to do's we usually sleep in and hang around the hotel till about three when we head out to eat on are way in. not alot of time with them starting racing so early these days.

There are a few casinos in town a Hardrock hotel and casinoand River Spirit casino (tracks title sponsor). There is a nice Aquarium in Jenks along the Arkansas river. Also A nice park along the river (riverside drive) if the weather is nice.( It happens sometimes). They had these power scooters laying around you just rent on the spot and leave where ever when you done. that was a blast.

enjoy your trip.

I live in Broken Arrow, I'm about a 15-20min drive from the fairgrounds. It's a straight shot down Hwy 51. We have a hotel in every price range, even have a mini resort they built next to the Bass Pro.There isn't really a bad part of town. If your wife likes the boutiques and the nice restaurants, we have the rose district you can walk around downtown. If you have any questions about the Tulsa Metro just let me know.

Just a slight correction to your post.  The River Spirit Casino is not a Chili Bowl title sponsor.  They only have the naming rights to the building where the race is held and have no financial envolvment in the Chili Bowl.  Now, The Cherokees Hard Rock Casino Resort & Hotel does sponsor the Wednesday night qualifying races and has a vendor space in the trade show. I believe they will also again have their Beautiful Show Girls there this year assisting with presentations etc.  The Hotel is also a GREAT place to stay and only about 15 minutes from the track.

Yes I knew that. My bad. I should of said building sponsor instead of track sponsor. Never said or meant Chili Bowl sponsor. Thanks for the clarification. Sorry for any confusion.

The Bass Pro shop itself was a to do for us one year. Plugged alot of quarters in their shooting gallery one afternoon. A fair amount cheaper then the casino.

I stayed in a cheapo joint in North Tulsa last year

Some intruder broke into a room while maid was working there, nobody hurt, but cops all over....

Good luck & enjoy the CB! wink
