PPV is changing the way we follow racing.  In the past being a "superfan" and attending 100+ races was considered a badge of honor and though I never hit those numbers I managed to get half way there a few times.  Today I look at the people I know who are still chasing races and spending half their life looking out a windshield and can't help but think of what they're missing in family and friend time.  This sport with a few brief forays into television was always a hands on sort of deal.  I can't speak for everyone but getting older can leave some of us life long supporters on the outside looking in when our travel days are over.  PPV at the current price point allows seniors and people with work obligations and other situations that prevent them from chasing races to stay connected with the sport.  Hopefully this trend will continue and improve as time goes on so that us old dogs can keep following the sport we grew up with.  Dirt track racing doesn't need to bleed off anymore fans.
