I know some may fine this observation strange, and maybe it is just me, but does NOS now sponsor too many teams and series.?  As a die hard sprint car fan, I am very appreciative of any corporate sponsorship in short track racing, but it seems just about every car now has NOS colors. It is almost too much exposure in my opinion vs sponsoring just one or two cars or maybe one series and a car.

As long as the car is on the track and the check clears the bank, they can sponsor everyone if they desire.

I don't think they sponsor too many teams. If any company can afford it it's them. It's a brand under Monster Energy which is a fortune 500 company, brings in about 3 billion with a B per year in revenue, and a free cash flow of 600 million. Their free cash flow has increased each year for over 10 years. Plus they have a distribution advantage with a partnership with Coke.

Right now the sponsor a series in USAC, WoO, and various teams in both. They have the revenue, profit, and capital to do it. If something happens where all of a sudden NOS & Monster stop making money, it won't be because of sponsoring too many teams, it will be because of poor management

Not sure you are all seeing my original point? I am not debating whether it is bad for our sport to have their sponsorship on all these cars or series or whether they can afford it? I am talking about the effectiveness of the sponsorship. Last year when they sponsored Sheldon it was special and everyone time you saw his car and team, the NOS brand left a memorable impression. Now it seems like every midget at the Chilli Bowl and every photo on Hoseheads of a sprint car has the NOS colors.....almost to the point that it becomes confusing on who is what car, since they all look alike (again I am not some newbe to the sport, I follow it very closely). I'll give you a few other examples. Drydene, When you see Shark Racing or recently added Brent Larsen in the dirt late models, it leaves a very favorable impression from a marketing point of view to the fans. I am sure a lot of you did not know about their product until they came on board as a sponsor. Now maybe the next time you are in an auto parts store you might now consider buying Drydene, for the first time over their competiors, as a loyal supporter of sprint car racing. Another example is Red Robin recently announced as the new sponsor for Heffner Racing. Their involvement makes me want to support them the next time I go out to eat. I guess that is the whole idea behind sports sponsorship. On the other hand, I am probably making way too big of a deal of this and should just be thrilled that NOS has chosen to involved in such a big splashy way in dirt track racing and leave it alone........

I understand the OP, NOS--->, this, NOS-->, that. It's everywhere. Just don't put it in your body. Or very little if you must.

Well, you noticed how many cars had NOS sponsorships, so I guess it was effective in that sense haha. Whether it is effective in you actually consuming the product is a chance in any advertising. Depends on if you were likely to purchase a product before or not and I am sure they know there are plenty dirt track fans don't. With all the events they attended last year (kings royal, knoxville Nationals) and people taking the product, they may have seen some market potential. Maybe a good enough amount of those attending events drink energy drinks for them to market. Then you factor how many fans attend dirt races each weekend (tens of millions) so there is that potential, along with how loyal race fans support sponsors.

They are kind of doing the old advertising that Coke used to do which is put your name everywhere at least at the race track. You go to a track you see the name on the track on a car probably no matter where in the pack you look, you hear the name from the announcer, go to a race website it is there. Watch a highlight on youtube you will probably see a NOS car. Worked for Coke years ago & with as many beverages people consume over a given year it is not out of the realm of possibility that a lot of people won't pick a few up at Casey's on the way to the track, or instead of getting a soda/pop they pick up a NOS. I have bought about 6 since the announcement with WoO. That's 6 more than I bought last year

I see what you're saying----more of an annoyance to you and others?

However, that's what sponsorship dollars are for-----write a big check and see your logo and colors at every turn.  You can't say "I am very appreciative of any corporate sponsorship in short track racing" in one breath and then say "stop putting your logo everywhere" in the next.

I dont care if they are on every car ,the more money they want to spend on racing the better.

Also thanks to the Weikerts I beleive they are on three cars this year plus the point fund at Port Royal, and Dennis Roth for getting Pittman on the road along with Selzi and who knows how many in Cal.

Seeing Weikert's Livestock on an outlaw car is kind of sacreligious to this posse fan.

I think the more sponsership we get the better! I also don't drink energy drinks, but if I did I would drink a NOS drink. I do now buy Sunvalley Bacon because they sponser the KWS 410 series here in California. Also, I support Kyle Larson in Nascar buy we don't have credit cards so no Credit One credit card for us. What ever happend to the DC Solar Company?

Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

Winged sprintcars = the fastest and most exciting

They sponsor 6 total cars, 2 winged cars, 2 non winged cars and 2 midgets, thats hardly too many teams or every car. Some one is being over dramatic. They graciously sponsor 2 series, WoO and USAC Midgets, which is what series needs to thrive and promote national series. We ought to be praising how they are spending their advertising dollars at the grassroots level instead of looking for ways to complain. Some people will never be satisifed. Get over it already.

" I am talking about the effectiveness of the sponsorship".... sshh, don't tell them...

They seem to think it works, cause they also give out free NOS drinks at Chili Bowl & probably other shows ("Psst, hey kid, try smoking this"....)

I often wonder if ANY ads make sense, especially on TV.... they show these people having fun & being happy in their groovy lifestyle, & i wonder "OK, what do you want us to buy?" Then they tell you: life insurance, beer, some brand of car, whatever....

Agree 100%. I don't care how many cars or series they sponsor, they're spending big money on our sport and that is a great thing. I wish we had lots of other companies willing to sponsor multiple teams and series. We'd be much better off.

DC Solar was raided by the FBI. The business and home were raided simultaneously. Several vehicles were removed. DC Solar will not be back. McDonalds has stepped in to fill the races on the Nascar car.

I have no problem with the sponsorship. The chili bowl is unique b/c of the teams involved and drivers who don't typically race under that team.
It's just their way of investing in the drivers who will best represent their brand, whether it's multiple cars or not.

I have no problem with multiple cars even with in the same series. Typically there's some type of letter designation to tell the difference. Example, INDY RACE PARTS.

Look at Casey's General Stores. How many cars are sponsored by them? Brown, AMAC, Morrow ....
