I see in this months Dirt Modified that the few late model drivers that jumped on the Blue Oval bandwagon 2 years ago and had success are now as expected (much like Mark Kinser's 18 month MOPAR domination) switching back to the Chevy with Lucas Oil Champion Jonathan Davenport being the first half way thru last season and again winning the Lucas Oil Late Model title. (Dirt Mod is a new magazine, thick as a catalog,  w/many writers from Sprint Car and Midget authoring articles, but it covers street stock, late models, sprints, mods, midgets, you name it, it covers it with tons of color pictures and some good interviews--this month a lengthy great interview with Sam (the man) Hafertepe,Jr and 12 thick-as-a-steak issues for $30 fine by me).  Tim McCreadie another that made the switch during 2018 season. From Andy Durham to their bowtie builder of which there are too many to name.

Yes it seems there were major issues with those engines on the WoO and Lucas LM series last year. To the point they were jumping ship to other Ford builders or going to Chevy builders.

Quantity over quality or quality over quantity???

I like what Dave Brown says: "The track is my dyno". Lets see how this does in competition.... is Donny willing to risk his season on an experiment?

So how long can be expected from first dyno pull to first laps in competition?   Is it feasible to expect it on track in a few weeks?

I'd imagine Smoke will be the guinea pig.

Schatz lost tricky Ricky as crew chief? I pray he runs the Ford this year as well.

Central PA would be a good testing ground for it this season. I hope they run it here.

They don't even know how to spell sprint car much less chromoly...http://www.ycmco.com

Soiunds like you're hoping for an ambush! wink

I'd like to see it run anywhere, but Pa. is closest for me....

I'm sure it would bring Minthess back out to the track (unless he's all talk?)

What issues? That Ry45 has been the dominant engine since it arrived ‍♂️ Davenport switched back to Cornett according to him because the power curve. Some drivers it seems like less horsepower ‍♂️
