It was actually the Malies family. Built by Art Malies in 1978 , he and his wife Carol worked the California/West Coast area the first ten years, then followed the WoO tour from 1988 through 2008. Art and Carol retired in 2008 I believe. They were joined the final year or so on tour by their son Eric. I think the last year on tour was 2009. I don't think they were able to retain enough sponsroship to keep it on the road any longer.  It became an Official Work Truck/Safety Truck for the King of the West series in 2010........who operated it and whether or not it's still active I don't know.

Honest questions about racing on a racing forum deserve honest answers. At least one of you got it right!

Hey asshat, I did your google search at my local library like you told me to. I had to inform the librarian that I was not searching for innapropriate material as she was concerned about the material the search would provide. I assured her I was searching for a car, kind of like the wienermobile. (she still thought I was up to no good) Once we got past that I read content that filled in information up to 2011-2012, did you know that Work'n Woody has/had a wesmar built 368 engine, a stainless steel top wing, and even 10.50x31x15  Goodyear mud tires!

For those in the know some of us are still curious about Work'n Woody in 2018 or the last known whereabouts.

If anyone else goes to the public library to do the suggested search just tell them you are searching for a car and not the details of the car you are searching for. It will save you some explaining and odd looks from the library staff.

Would have been cool to bring this vehicle back for this 40th anniversary year.

It would be cool to see Woody at the Nationals or the King's Royal but the WoO probably could care less if it isn't making them money.

Better watch the google picture searches for Work'N Woody.  Lots of pics of pervy Woody Allen are returned.  And also Selena Gomez?!?!

Seriously...I mean the dude asked a decent question. It wasn't a bad question either. Can't someone just ask a question here and not expect dumassery as a response. If ya don't like his question or post simply move on. I guess, however, I should follow my own advice....but maybe if we all lighten up a little (port track prep, posse vs WoO, etc) life would be a little more bearable.
