Much like Johnny Utah, Super Chuck's more of a glass-half-full kinda guy. If Super Chuck's gotta be tagged as a "one track wonder" sign him up for Knoxville Raceway to be his track.

- Can't really give an opinion on Brown.
- the 69k had one bad moment not even a full night on the track at Mansfield other than that that car passed as many cars as anyone else there that weekend....they were probablly only a moment or two of some luck from challenging for the win.
- I know many of us old time fans would love to see the 69K grace Selinsgrove with its presence....a track where Donnie made a name for himself....have no idea what the problem is - besides an unknown rumored grudge from the early 1990's.
- A track Bob Weikert labeled the Knoxville of the East.
- Lance and 69K are better than good - I believe bordering on one of the best all time.
- However it is no where near the level of the dream team Mr. Davey Brown Sr. was on in mid 1980's with Bob Weikert an owner who would run anywhere, Doug Wolfgang arguably one of the top 5 drivers all time, and Davey Brown who at that time may have only been rivaled by that one guy who was turning the wrenches for some dude named Steve Kinser.
- For me to move my selfish and humble opinion from good to great regarding the 69k would take the 69k team showing up at more than Susky, Williamsgrove, and Port Royal.

Brock Zearfoss. The dude is horrible at Lincoln/susky/Path and can only run 1/2 mile tracks

my ramblings above were in response to a post that started this thread but has since been removed. not sure why the poster removed it as we are entitled to our opinions - however by simply just giving and opinion doesn't make them right

Nice to see the original post deleted before you could say Sinking Springs 5 times... !!
Brown has done quite well for himself at Jackson (the old Jackson) and I-80 (among a few other places) ... so not sure the punishment fits the crime on that one. Does he do amazing on high banked bullrings? Not really. There are quite a few guys that run really well on half-miles that struggle on tracks of shorter distance and higher banking. Apparently Zearfoss in PA is one of them. Having watched MANY a driver struggle at Knoxville, I'd say there are lot of guys that aren't comfortable (at all) going as fast as you need to go there and putting your car in the places you need to put it... so it goes both ways, to an extent.

Hey Supa...does a 360 win at Knoxville make Saldana a one track wonder?
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

Why take a cheap swipe at the kid?
He already did, 3rd heat 7/21/18... I suspect that is one more than you?

JimSeigel(Lincoln), Blane Heimbach - 2 track wonder(Port, SG). I think 1 thing to consider though is a driver/team's budget. Most teams nowadays are on a pretty tight budget with the costs involved theses days. That can prevent them from racing at and getting experience at a variety of tracks. There's way more 1 track/1night a week teams than teams that can afford to run 2-3 nights every week.

Hmmmmm....not sure what the criteria is for a one track wonder (help?) but Joey has exactly ONE 360 win there. Quick time, passed two cars in his heat, won from the pole. Not hating on the guy, matter of fact Super Chuck likes Joey, but can't help but wonder if that makes him a wonder? Do you wonder?
All joking aside, Super Chuck was not only glad to see Joey and Rudeen team in the pits but to see them pulling double duty was an extra treat. He didn't see it as cherry picking as there is a big 360 race on the horizon, might was well dial in your program if they'll let you. Hearing he plans to stick around through the Nationals, which equals another good car (and great driver) in the pits.
Super Chuck

Am I the only person who WONDERS if Brian Brown was told by Lamberti to miss enough races at Knoxville so that Austin McCarl could win the Points Championship.

Not a cheap shot. I've said from day one he needed to commit to one track and gain the experience neccessary to run with the Outlaws. So I do "wonder" if he'll win a Feature down the road. Having Knoxville as a home track is going to give him all kinds of experience that he wasn't getting on tour!

You realize he's got a 9-5, right? Hard to travel anywhere else when you have a full-time job and there's no "local" racing near where you live.

Yes, because those who know, understand it's an FVP thing.
