Petaluma Speedway hosts the C&H Veteran Ent. presents Hunt Magnetos Wingless Tour this Saturday June 16

By Gary Thomas

Petaluma, CA – June 12, 2018…Roseville, California’s Scott Hall leads the C&H Veteran Ent. presents Hunt Magnetos Wingless Tour into round number six this Saturday night at the Petaluma Speedway.

This Saturday’s event will be the second appearance of the season to the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds facility and marks the halfway point of the 2018 campaign. During the initial visit to Petaluma Speedway it was Central Valley racer Michael Faccinto, who earned his first career C&H Veteran Ent. presents Hunt Magnetos Wingless Tour victory driving for Pries Motorsports. The wingless warriors also will return to the sticky adobe on August 25 for the seventh annual Soares Classic.

With five events complete veteran Scott Hall has moved atop the standings and will look for his first Pit Stop USA main event victory of the season on Saturday at Petaluma Speedway. The driver of the Quick Time Mortgage No. 56 Sprinter holds a 16-point advantage over current runner up Shawn Jones.

“We’ve had a good start to the C&H Veteran Ent. presents Hunt Magnetos Wingless Tour season and compared last year I couldn’t be happier,” Hall commented. “We look forward to Petaluma Speedway on Saturday. Rick Faeth does a great job with the surface and the facility. Now if we could park it in victory lane that would be icing on the cake. It’s been a really competitive season for the tour and the second half of the year should be much of the same.”

The previously mentioned Shawn Jones picked up his first career C&H Veteran Ent. presents Hunt Magnetos Wingless Tour victory in Chico earlier this season and will look for a good outing to close the gap between himself and Hall. He also has Troy Degaton hot on his heels, as the Sacramento veteran sits just two-digits back of him in third. Angelique Bell and Ryan Siverling complete the top-five heading into round six this weekend.

The remainder of the top-10 in points is comprised of Kaimi Costa, Robert Floyd, Sparky Howard, Nick Larson and Marcus Smith.

The front gate this Saturday June 16 at Petaluma Speedway will open at 4pm, with hot laps at 5pm and racing scheduled to get underway at 6pm. Adult tickets will cost $16, while seniors 65+ and kids 6 to 11 will be $12, children five and under are free. The pit gate for competitors opens at noon.

A full program of Quick Time Mortgage qualifying; King Racing Products, SpeedMart and Benic Ent. heat races; the Santamauro Racing Products dash and the Pit Stop USA/ Transport Products Unlimited A-main will be on tap. The Petaluma Speedway is located in the southern part of the wine country at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds just off Highway 101 in Petaluma, California.
