Big announcment for Badlands last friday. So big everyone missed it, including me.

Minthess calls er' quits. We all knew he was up to his eyeballs in bullshit but finally has drown in it.

It costs $20,000 to knock off a second at knoxville, $14,900 motors running 16.9, $35,000 360's in the 15.9 and $55,000 410's in the 14.9 ranges. (disclaimer this information is not factual just going off the top of my head on rough qualifying times) (FACT)

Blaney still winning, both of them!

Schatz wins Schatzville nationals, again.

Rico is short. (a crew guy) Still 10 feet tall with tallent!

Just having some fun on a monday morning, anything else news and noteworthy?

Not true at all, when you're wading in waist deep water you just let it rip wherever you want to!

Your not buying a competitive 305 for that price. More like in the range of mid 20's

I think that is for a competitive 6 liter to run in the 305 class.

It appears that there won't be many (possibly any) 305's in the 305 class in another year or two.

ford 97. this is the problem with racing across this great country of ours. a competitive 305 here in pa. were real sprint cars are. guys are not running the crate 525, because i assume that is what your getting at, and to purchase that engine for a top of the ;line engine, that other guys that are winning have and for anyone to compete against them you better have one. 20 to 25 k. end of story. o by the way, i wouldn't go across the street to watch ANY crate class. me personally, which yes i do still have that right in this country. i will ask you this, when a crate car gets upside down, they do go fast enough, and you go to the supplier of your choice and say i junked everything. do they give a discount because it is a crate class ? i had a guy looking at my used winters rears and he kept telling me he was only going to race in the 360 class, i finally pulled all the cost sheets and pay out sheets out for this fellow and low and behold he got it. he stills races at port royal to this day and you no what he still thanks me to this day and we have a beer and laugh about it. he's never going to win. he new that going in, but as he will tell you he's living a dream and having a blast.  so anyhow guys are racing hopefully some move up. yea my 60 had me chewing on a lot of sole ? hot sauce made it all taste better. lol. i have been to the nationals, the 15 car  back then was a back marker and the anybody but kinser crowd was running all over the place. so to all the 305 and 360 guys, i say, live your dream and have fun. but, please don't tell me how it is so much cheaper to race.

Once I got past the first sentence I wasn't sure the rest of that post was written in English.  However, I am a posse fan yet I would never tell Knoxville Iowa that what runs there are not like PA "where the real sprint cars are."  That's funny right there.

BTW, I seem to remember a decent but not excellent Knoxville car showing up at Port Royal last year and winning the show.

it takes three million to make one...

with that being said  very few teams make profits, big tax write off's for many teams i am sure, sponsor money, go fund me or whatever it takes  fifteen years ago brian paulis let me know that it took 100K a year for fuel alone to meet the demanding coast to coast (several times) to run with the WOO-zers!

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...

I figured " the real sprint cars line would commented on " just having fun guys. I believe a knoxville regular came in early this year and had the boys from the port chasing him to the checkered flag.

There are several PA teams attending the Racesaver IMCA Sprint Nationals this weekend, along with teams from all over the rest of the country and 2 countries other than the USA. I have a feeling that we'll see a bang-up A Feature on Sunday, no matter how much the engines cost. wink

I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.
